  5. hello, I want to ask, maybe some of you know about this, I want to take a program on compactlogix but it has a firmware version 19.xx while the rslogix application I have is version 21.xx, there are several options offered by the application to be able to take the program, update the firmware in compactlogix or downgrade the rslogixku application to version 19.xx. if i upgrade the firmware in compactlogix, what about the program is the program safe or not, and if i upgrade the firmware will the program in compactlogix work properly?

I've a PVP6 1250, firmware 10.001, need to flash this to take a FTV rev.12 project.  Downloaded the rev 12 firmware from the rockwell site (PVP6_700-1500_12.00-20200922), unzip, install, run controlflash and it does not see the new firmware.  ok, I see where the controlflash file needs to be a .DMK, this installed a .FUP file. Tried running controlflash plus, goes through its "loading firmware kits" and "building inventory" steps.  It does see the panelview but reports no firmware found. What am I missing, its been a handful of years since I've last done a panelview flash.  And of course I'm getting "now now now, fast fast fast, hurry, hurry, hurry, why isnt it done yet"

  8. Hello All,    I have had no luck sorting through Pilz datasheets on this CPU to find cable / software to connect/upload the program. Any insight?   We are upgrading this to the CPU 4000 series - it will use DeviceNet. Will this node number / memory allocation be setup within the 'PSS 4000 Firmware' software? Where do I find a guide for this?   Thank you.
  9. Hi,   I am planning to upgrade a premium PLC to M580, I have the program uploaded from existing premium PLC. I tried to convert the program by using UMAC but lof of errors happening, can any one help on this? Regards Sandeep
  10. Hello everyone! This is the first time I use Micro850 controller (2080-LC50-48QWB) and after I made a really simple programme (just for testing) I wanted to download it to my controller (which I was able to see and connect to via Ethernet and USB normally) and I got a message saying that firmware version didn't match (programme - v9, and PLC - v4). So I found some datasheet where was explained how to upgrade device firmware with ControlFLASH. I started the mentioned software, choose the right controller, and I choose the version 9 and the process started, but near the end I got the ERROR message, and the update wasn't finished successfully. So my controller went to fault (FAULT red light flashes) and now I can not see it in RSLinx nor via Ethernet nor USB. Does anyone have any idea what could I do to try to establish connection with my controller? I have tried to change from prog mode to run, and back to prog, but the fault remains. I really hope that I didn't make some serious mistake, because we need this PLC very soon for work. Thanks  in advance!
  11. Hi, Can anyone advise on how to upgrade the firmware on Kinetix 3 drives (2071-AP8 Series A)? There is a firmware update option in Ultraware, but when I try that it says something like f/w version does not support upgrade. Is it actually possible to upgrade them at all? You can download new versions from the AB website, which suggests it must be possible. They currently have v2.00, and latest version is v2.23. I know these are old drives, but they still work so might as well get some use out of them. Thanks, James.

  13. Hello everybody I have strange effects when connection MODBUS TCP IO-Boxses from my FX5U-80xx. So I thought about looking for network issues fixed in the firmware. So, the website below has firmware 1.201 and I have 1.110 currently.   14. Can I download an old program (written with RS Logix 500 version 5.2) into a newer SLC 5/04 Series C with a higher FRN than my copy of RS Logix supports? I don't want to use any newer functionality. Just wanting to get a spare 5/04 and load the application software on so it is ready to swap out in the event of a failure. I see some 5/04's on eBay that are new in box but have a FRN of 11 which wasn't out at the time my version of RSLogix was created.

  16. Hi all,  I am trying to update the firmware of a NS12-TS01B-V2. I have downloaded the RecoverUpdate_8_95.exe (and someothers) from the myomron website. I have followed the instrucctions PDF, but when I switch on the HMI with the Compact Flash inserted, nothing happens: the screen is dark and the led is lit orange (not blinking).  The compact flash is 1GB (not omron) and formated using a CJ2. I have been using this card in OMRON PLCs and HMIs for years without problems.  I read in other topic than I guy had similar problems and he solved it using other computer and other unzipper program. I have tried it, but it did not work.  After that, I tried to update it using the DIP switches, but I got more problems, because I got a Warning first, and later an Error, because I forced the installation of the Firmware of the NS8 (BANK1) instead of the NS12. However, the other BANK folder contains the FW for the NS5... Anyway, I could fix this error because previously I did a backup of the already installed system (V7.0). I would like to ask you to send me a BackUp of another NS12, using the "Manual Transfer", that should works. I need the 8.20 version or higher.  Thanks a lot.  My email is hector.moreno.lax@gmail.com
  17. Dear All, 2094-BM01-SA0192 was installed on a machine, now we are installing 2094-BM01-SB1111 Problem is that when we Power ON, it start showing 0,1,2 and remains on 2 while in old SA0192, it goes to 1,2,3 and 4 then comes to normal display. can anyone suggest the solution? waiting

    Could any one help with the upgrade of a Fx2n plc with fx2n-32 can to fx3u plc with fx3u-canopen Have made a duplicate machine 7 years after the 1st one which controlled 7 ssd drives via a canbus (no problems in 7 years) Now have to use fx3u series which we have done, uploaded old program but can't get the Canbus working as comms seem to be different with the FX3u-canopen Is there a simple program mod? desperate any help much appreciated. Any one that could mod the program so it will work? Col

    Hello, I would like to download my project to the NS10 -v2 but i get the following error:   I kind of remember that it was p;ossible to update this automaticaly in similar cases, like 8.7->>8.8 or something like that, i just clicked on okay and it did it automatically. But after ok the application just stucks on loading, NS restarts, in case of ethernet. I tried it with usb, it just quits after ok, and nothing happens. How can i upgrade the NS10 to 8.8 or 8.7 or 8.9 to be able to download my new project??

Hello everyone, we have two damaged analog cards for CompactLogix PLC ( 1769-OF8C  & 1769-IF8) that we are going to replace. my experience is with Siemens and Schneider PLC's  but for Allen Bradley, not so much so my question is : are there any requirements or specification other than the part-number that could prevent the cards from going in service directly ? as for the firmware, series and so on ?  and do i need to do any extra work after replacing the card ? thank you Best Regards
  22. We have L61's and L63's and are looking at upgrading them to the L7 equivalent. Has anyone had any experience of this and any pitfalls to avoid? Tech support have said that there might be issues with the comms cards resolved by updating their firmware. Is the upgrade that simple? We currently use Logix5000 at version 20.01 but are preparing to go to Studio5000 as part of the upgrade.

    Hi everybody, My client got a problem with F940GOT HMI, probably due to its lithium battery has dicharged. We have managed to find it and to replaced the battery, then have downloaded the working copy of the HMI program, which was uploaded from GOT to PC in good time, when the equipment was working fine. However after that not all is working well, something went wrong: there are unexpectable symbols on the HMI screen, undefined in the project... Perhaps, the HMI got a problem with its firmware... Therefore the questions are: 1) Where is to find the firmware? (may be somebody has it)  2) How to download the firmware into HMI? Thanks in advance for a quick answer and help, because the issue is quite urgent !

    This is a preliminary post to see if anyone can point me towards information on upgrading from LM90 to Proficy ME. We have a system that I was involved with 15 years ago and a new company that owns this rig is looking to upgrade from LM90 to PME and change out all of the Field Control Cards and update to VersaMax...... Was going to keep the Genius Comm until I heard that's on it's way out by the end of 2017 as well. Now looking to upgrade to Profinet. Any information that you want to throw at me would be appreciated. Cheers
