  1. Hey all,  So I am looking for some assistance because I am not understanding how the tags on an HMI and within a PLC are linked. There are no 'physical' buttons, just what is on the HMI. It is controlling a chiller. Communicates over Modbus TCP/IP. The PLC is an IDEC. I have some-what worked out how other tags are working when they are words being passed back and forth, but this one has me stumped. I've attached a few screenshots for referral. It looks like the run and unload buttons for the chiller are a single bit/BOOL toggle (but the chiller running latches itself in the PLC when the chiller starts to run). The stop buttons appears to be a parent for the single bit/BOOLs and when it is pressed it resets them all both on the HMI side and within the PLC side.
  2. Modbus Addressing in Weintek HMI

Modbus addressing in Weintek HMI to poll data from Temperature sensor through RS485. In my system i have connected Temperature sensor to I/O Scanner has output in terms of RS-485 which directly connected to COM3 Port pin. No. 6 (as Negative) & 9 (as Positive) of HMI (Model No: MT8071iE) and HMI connected to PC via ETHERNET. I want to read temp on HMI screen via MODBUS protocol. So, can you please provide me instruction about addressing of MODBUS register in Easy-Builder Software so can read data of corresponding register. Because when i do compile i got an error like " Device no Response". I hope i will get reply from your side as Fast as possible to overcome this problem. Thank you.
  3. WeinTek to AB PLC Issues

I am connecting a WeinTek eMT3105P to a CompactLogix L2 series PLC via the WeinTek Rockwell PLC (CompactLogix) - Free Tags driver and I cannot for the life of me get the thing to connect. I have all my tags imported and have played around with all the settings in the manuals I can find. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. I know my IP addresses are correct and if I connect my cable directly from the HMI to the PLC I still get the "PLC no response" message
  4. Hi, I've been working on a new software for a Weintek HMI model MT8071ie, which is controlling an Omron CP1E PLC. The computer is currently being used to simulate the HMI, connected to the PLC via USB. The connection between the computer and PLC has been flawless for the past few weeks I've had no trouble at all, but now all of a suden everytime I go to the online simulation I get the PLC No response that pops up. I've tried going through my settings several times to find an error somewhere, but nothing seems out of place. I also tried different cables, different PLC, I tried using backed up versions of my program that worked a few weeks ago with no success.  When I connect to the PLC using CX programmer it works everytime, so it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue. I'm starting to run out of ideas on where to check, if anyone has even a small idea on what my problem could be that would be great.  thank you!
