  1. TCP Connection Status

Good Morning to all, I'm working on a TCP connection and sometimes I need close it and reopen successively. When I close connection and Close is done I cannot view the correct TCP status because it remain ESTABLISHED.  Why it could be happen? Waiting for your answer,  Thank you, Mariangela
  2. Hello, I am having an issue with a PowerFlex 700S. This drive controls a travel motor for an overhead hoist. It is periodically not starting after stopping at a programmed point and sometimes stops while traveling to the next station. It does not give any faults or alarms. It is controlled remotely from a CompactLogix through a wireless router to an N-Tron unmanaged switch to the 20-COMM-E adapter. There are some limited manual controls, but the normal operation is a start, stop and speeds all sent from the controller. We have the DI6 set to enable and that does not seem to ever be lost. When this happens the only thing that I can find is the start inhibit parameter shows a bit 8 set high which is a start request present. I can see the PLC has already sent the start signal. I can put the machine in manual mode then cycle back to auto and the drive takes off. The only thing I can see changing while doing this is the start command is dropped and then sent again. I have changed the comm adapter as originally I had thought this was an issue with comms, but now I am skeptical as I have it set to fault and stop if a comms loss is detected. I am also able to connect to this drive and others on the same hoist through the wireless comms, so I feel better about the comms path. What causes this start inhibit bit 8 to become active? Does this seem to be a communication issue or a potentially a bad drive?
  3. FX1N

I have a problem with PLC not seeing the input. I am using a FX3S, however, because I still am using GX Developer, it will only recognise it as a FX1N. My problem is I did a small programme for an alarm on a "Blow Down" system for filter cleaning on Silos. Tested it at home with a cyclic timer, everything working fine. Got the controller this afternoon and found I had a problem. It looks like it's not seeing the input to reset the time out timer. Worked for a while, then fell over. Using X0. The switching time I am monitoring is 20msec, which I thought would not be a problem. This is going to be a major setback for me with this project. Eight of these controllers. Any help would be great.
  4. i just got my NX1p2-1140DT controller with a R88D-KN04-ECT. i conneted every thing and directy got the 87 message on the display. i found out dat is becous wrong wiring I dont have the I/o cable incallt with omron they where saying that i don't need it and i can controll the motor controller full via ethercat. i already try to change to pdo mapping. what am i doing wrong? can someone help me? is it indeed true i dont need the i/o cable  thanks in advance for helping.
  5. Servo drive control power

Hi, I have a servo coil feeder. It has HMI, PLC, MR-JE-100A Servo drive, and motor.  Recently,  smoke came out of drive. One capacitor was almost split. 400 V, 680 uF. This is right after 3-P rectifier. I believe there was some sort of over voltage. I found the capacitor from China,  and installed. HMI and PLC are sending power and signals, but no sign of activity at the drive. DC bus is alive, but can't pass beyond relay after bridge rectifier. There is no power at control circuit either. No service manual. I ordered another same drive. Do I need to set anything on the drive, or HMI and PLC has all the necessary signal to drive the motor? NC+servo+Roll+Feeder+manual (2).pdf
  6. Can anyone tell me how to check fault history in Allen Bradley powerflex 40 drive?
  7. Hi, In our machine, we want the homing of linear axis to be - moving to reverse limit. In order to achieve that we connected positive limit to Enable_positive input, negative limit to Enable_negative input of MC_Power function block. We used MC_Home function block and assigned the negative limit to bCalibrationCam of home FB. Things were working correctly.  But one thing we noticed is if the axis is in synchronous operation mode(axis following another master axis), even the limit is engaged axis is not stopping. During discrete movement this was stopping. Is there any other way to configure limit switch in twincat3.
  8. serial input string

Hi  I'm quite new to plc but very new to mitsubishi.   I have an input string eg G+002.7 which represents a weight. I wish to take in the input string then move/convert to int omitting first char,   On other plc's i have been able to use a modifier like d200[2] then the no of chars. How do i achieve this in gx works3   Any feedback gratefully recieved   Paul
  9. Hello Experts We have a machine with Mitsubishi Servo MR-JE-2008 With PLC Fx 5U & HMI GS2107 Yesterday we altered PLC by adding a row with input and timer & used this Input in next rung for weld start Although we did not  find any linkage but found "'Screen error Ok"' on HMI and after pressing Ok, HMI screen getting blank. We restored original PLC backup - PLC in Run Mode still ""Screen error Ok"" on HMI Via GT designer 3, we have loaded HMI backup, now HMI screen is OK and normal Getting Ab on Mitsubishi drive - we feel it is not an error but due to this we are unable to rotate motor although other functions like door open/close etc Ok In PLC, online mode, we are finding Servo in ON but unable to understand Ab on Drive and may be due to this, unable to rotate motor Please refer to attached HMI, PLC & Servo Backup Request advice HMI BACK UP.GTX PLC BACKUP.gx3 Flange Welding_Tag Line Servo Backup.mrc2
  10. Motion Control

Hi Everyone.   I have been tasked with changing out an older Flex Drive servo drive to a more modern Micro Flex drive in a machine that has an Omron CQM1H-CPU51 PLC.  I'm having a few issues but hope that i can gain some clarity around at least one of the hurdles Im facing from here. Biggest issue for me at this moment is My work hasn't yet purchased a programming lead for this PLC (or even the bits required to make one myself) but i have a feeling the control for the Servo is done via motion control in the PLC.  Question here is, if changing from one servo drive to another type, will the motion control code need to be updated to work with the new servo drive?  I have very limited experience with motion control itself at this stage so I'm a bit lost when it comes to these sort of details. Regards Kiwi_man82
  11. Hi,I want to read transducer signal on PLC.I am using 7kg60008ab/nn transducer and it's analog (4-20mA) output is connected with analog meter. Can I connect the transducer current output (4-20mA) signal to PLC analog input in series with analog meter display???So that I can read the value on PLC simultaneously with analog meter?
  12. Hello, I am rather unexperienced with PLC's but have some experience. I Currently have 2 Lexium ILS1 motors which we want connected over RS485.  I have read a couple of manuals. I have found which format they want to receive their data and what the pinout of their pre assmbled cable is (which hasn't been delivered yet).  I am currently unsure about a couple of things. The wiring the formatting of my data i'm sending, and the program.   The pictured below show my motor (which runs when i connect it to the PC and run it using the software provided so it is in working order) and the PLC with option port (which i used to transmit data to another PLC, so again i can't blame the hardware for being at fault here). However when i connect the cable and try to communicated I Don't see the LED light up. I followed Lexiums guide on which pins to use. But i figured for good form i might include these pictures to be certain hardware is correct.      Finally here is my program. I followed Omrons quick start instructions. But: my send ready flags never become high and the way data has to be formatted for these lexiums seems very labour intensive. But this is how i understood it needed to be done. Am i doing something (or a lot) wrong here?      I hope someone can help me out here! If any further information is needed i'll do my best to provide it.   Kind regards.
  13. question about ABB ACS800 control

I am not a drive person (far from it...),  but I am working on a project using a number of ACS800 drives.  On one drive (only seeing this issue on one drive,  as far as I can determine) - when I specify a target speed and also specify maximum acceleration - there is a (significant) difference in terms of the accel time whether I have the drive set to internal speed control vs. external (encoder) control.  It takes almost exactly twice as long to get up to speed when set to external vs. internal.  (And problem with keeping it set to internal is that we lose accuracy at higher speeds,  and also at very low speeds...).  The most obvious issue would be a bad or improperly set encoder module,  but speed of motor is correct (as measured by tach) whether using internal or external.  Encoder module was also swapped for new one,  with no difference.   The only parameter that I am changing is speed by external encoder vs. internal  (I think that it is parameter 98.01).  Would anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this?   Thanks for any ideas!
  14. Hello all,    I have 3 kinetix 5500 drives connected in series but some how the 3rd drive lost power. all the fuses in the cabinet look good. nothing else is tripped either.    any advice is appreciated.  thank you
  15. Output polarity selection

Hello to everyone. Nice to meet you all. How are you? I hope you are doing well. I’m developing a program with the purpose of make something similar to a pulse train in the output. However, sometimes I need the output to be a “positive” pulse and sometimes a “negative” one. By positive and negative I mean the polarity in relation to the pulse train source. I’m trying to use a pair of bits in order to switch between the two choices of polarities. I attach a simplified version of the ladder diagram I’ve made. When I thought about the logic, it seemed logical to me, however, it isn’t working as supposed. SM0.4 is a pulse train source. According to the software manual, it is a pulse train with 50% duty cycle and a cycle time of 2 s. That it to say it says at TRUE for one second and return to FALSE for another second. I assign the value of that variable bit to the M0.0 memory bit. I get the negative version of the pulse train logically negating it in the Network #2.                 I assign the value of two inputs, I0.0 and I0.1, to other two memory bits, M0.1 and M0.2. ·         When both inputs are in a FALSE state, the output stays FALSE, disregarding the state of SM0.4. (Case #1) ·         When I0.0 is TRUE, M0.1 is TRUE. However, Q0.0 stays at FALSE no matter SM0.4 is TRUE or FALSE. I attach a pair of pictures. (Case #2) ·         On the other side, when I0.1 is TRUE, M0.2 is TRUE. In this case, the output shows the correct behavior. It is the negated version of the pulse train source. (Case #3)                 Has any of you experienced something similar? Is there a better way to execute my purpose?                 I’m not executing the program, just simulating it with KincoBuilder from Kinco. However, it has always worked fine for me. Thanks for you attention. I look forward for your responses. Kind regards!
  16. Hello All, I'm a newbie to Omron programing  I have a program where I want to control a stepper motor with 1 plc output "pulse output0"  in my program I used PLS2 instruction but when I execute the instruction the motor won't rotate and the plc outputs are off, My wiring is fine, and my plc is CP1E-N40S1DR-A MY 1st output is pulse output 0 Q100.0 and also the driver wiring with the stepper motor is good ( I did a test with siemens plc the motor does work fine ) , what could be the problem? thanks, PLC OUPUT 0 SETTING

  18. unit of time in D8284

Hello PLCmaniaccccssss, What is the unit of time in 'average time for the channel -1' (D8284) while programming for analog inputs? I have moved k10 to D8284 in my program in gxworks 2, does that mean the time average will be taken for 1Sec or 10msec or any other time unit??? I require this to eliminate the flickering of the input from the load cell transmitter. Thanks and God bless!!!
  19. We have an SLC 5/05 on our automation network, one of several SLC 5/05 processors on site.  It functions perfectly well and no ethernet messaging issues or SCADA drop outs.  The difficulty I am experiencing with it is when I am required to fault diagnose it takes a very long time to get online to it with our laptop running RSLogix500.  It sometimes takes as long as 10 minutes.  It makes no difference whether I use the Ethernet devices or the EtherNet/IP Driver in RSLinx, it nearly always takes an age which is frustrating in a breakdown situation.  I don't ever experience these long wait times connecting to any other of the SLC 5/05 controllers or any other controllers for that matter.  Once I am connected to the problematic controller I don't experience any issues, it's just the initial time getting online.  I try to leave the laptop permanently connected to it to avoid the long wait time to connect.  When I open RSLogix500, select Comms, Who Active Go Online, Ethernet devices driver, I can see that the problematic 5/05 has Active as its Status whereas the other 5/05 processors have Remote Run as their status.  Please can anyone advise as to any possible program parameters, RSLinx settings or hardware faults I should be looking for?  I have considered it could be a network problem but I'm unsure about this given how the processor performs well in every other regard. Neil
  20. Hello everyone    I am working on modbus TCP protocols to communicate between SEW drive and Omron PLC CP1L-EM. I am following modbus TCP function block from Omron, But i have updated that block because of is not fit to SEW modbus communication. Currently, I am sending a control work to SEW but I am getting error on Modbus TCP from SEW drive, which is invalid data. So I am looking your help is you work with SEW drive before and communicate over modbus, then please let me know how to make a data string for read and write (SEW Drive function 23). I am using 3PD data structure.    Thank you
  21. Hello all,  I have a temperature sensor with a reading range of 10F to 212 . The input card I am using is an Allen Bradley 1734 IE8C 8 Channel Analog current input. The current input values are 4-20 mA. Currently I have my raw low at 4000 and raw high at 20000. Can anyone explain how do we go about selection of this values ? I found these values in the configuration tag of the input card properties.  Thank You
  22. Dear forumers, It started on ISPsoft end nov. 2021. I have to program a MS300 drive. It is a very interesting software. And even if it is a bit rigid, in ladder for example, I begin to like it. I would need some help though, especially on the APIs properties. Indeed, the F1 help doesn't work well. Sometimes it doesn't open (can bypass), sometimes the APIs I’m looking for is not in it.  In the different pdf's I have gathered, the APIs, especially those concerning the MS300 variator, are not all explained. Does anyone have precise literature, official or personal, on these APIs?  It is difficult to program by having to guess/test. The doc. I currently have: Delta Standard Compact Drive MS300 Series User Manual (2 PDF : one with 688 pages, one with 510) 2 Quick guid, probably done by my seller (Word format) ISPSoft User Manueal (2 PDF : 2017/06/14 with 840 pages; 2021/03/29 with 1160 pages) A few DVP PLC PDF : DVP-28SS2; SA2; SS2… I also had trouble installing the last 2 versions of ISPsoft on a Windows 7 pro 64 bits PC. The V3-14-0 version refused to install, displaying an inability to write to a temporary folder. The V3-13 version (SW_20210420) just froze during installation. No info. I didn't look further (the client is coming netxt week), I stayed at 3.12.01 (beta) Has anyone ever had this? I will try insall V3-14 on a windows 10, and also try a monitored install on my one personal PC at home with w7 pro 64b. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me. I have contacted DELTA support in Europe and am waiting for answers. As well as my seller, who has technical competence, has already used this software, but is far from having answered all my questions. Best regards, KsioP
  23. Hello, I wonder who can help me out here. I am new to the CX programmer. I want to communicate to selema drive through CX programmer. The drive is IPS plus Selema. The company was gone in 2017. There is no manuals regards to the drive. Here is the issue, in the program. The SPED block show port specifier is 10, the INI blcok show Port specifier is 0. Refer to the PLC picture, my first questions which one is port 10? I think port 0 is the left bottom cable from the second picture. So port 10 is the last module?  Second, Do anyone have manual or knowledge with the selema drive? Is there another one to communicate with the drive not using CX programmer?   thanks
  24. Hello guys, how many (maximum) analog inputs/outputs can CPU 1215C can reach without any issue?   I try to search in google but can't find convincing answer.  Thanks for your help.
