  1. I need solution for master & slave configuration between 2 PLC Twido TWDLCAE40DRF. My final project is about a system for filling drink on a cup and do the packaging. the component of the project is the filling system (dropping cup, filling water, pressing the seal) and the packing (packing into a box and sealing the box). This project is using 2 PLC Twido TWDLCAE40DRF. My problem is how to configure one of them as the master and the other as the slave. I've read the manual book but it's hard to understand the instruction. if anyone can give a simplify explaination to me please reply this post or you can reach me at mail: tatangprayoga11@gmail.com
  2. Hello,  As the title indicates, we have a micrologix 1400 that has been installed for a long time.  Recently it faulted out on 71h and was in Remote Mode.  Do these PLCs revert to Remote Mode when in a fault condition?  We placed it back in Run Mode and everything worked fine, but how did it get to Remote Mode in the first place? Thanks,  J
  3. Binary Mode vs BCD Mode

Hi all, I have created a program using the binary counter and timer instructions and everything works fine (yay!), but I am not entirely sure if there is a major difference between using Binary mode or BCD Mode on the PLC. Does it just come down to personal preference or is there an advantage to using a particular mode over the other? Also, does the operating mode affect anything besides counter/timer? The option in CX-Programmer seems to indicate it doesn't. Cheers, Jay
  4. I got a CJ1M CPU11 that I can connect to but I can just go to run mode but when I try to switch to program mode I'm tell that I can modify the mode

This process successfully acomplished. But when i open the RSLOGIX it shows popup that activation path is not found. Then i again open the factory talk tool and note that there is no activation shows in current activate products, But the activation detail shows in the RE host tab. I re hosted the activation by using go to Rockwell site and message show successfully activation re hosted.   *** Now i am stuck here is i loss my activation?  *** in windows xp virtual mode how i activate my product that application find the correct path of activation file? ** In windows xp mode if i open my Computer there is shows other hard drive partition as well as Local disk C:\  and activation file save in virtual drive instead of real C drive in windows 7. But there is no file path option to save the activation. 8. IPC 620-1536

HI, there. I am new to the Honeywell PLC, usually dealing with AB or Omron. Need some help from the Honeywell PLC gurus, my the only one PLC IPC620-1536 , suddenly stop working. No "Run" light or any outputs are present. Turning the "Mode Key" to the "program mode" and back to the "run mode" doesn't make any difference. I attached couple photo. My question, is any other way to start PLC running again? If I purchase the Win.Loader and communication cable and connect to the PLC, can I change PLC back to "Run" mode and upload the program, or fail to change the Mode using the Key. means the same fail using the software? Please update. Thanks for advance,
  9. Hi! I have my 1756 IF8 wired in high speed differential mode but i can't configure the RTS smaller than 11 ms. What I understand it should be possible to set as low as 5 ms if module filter setting is 1000 Hz. Is there anything else that i have to do?
  10. project or PLC mode

Hi, I keep getting an error that project is in binary mode and plc is in BCD mode.  Wont let me change either. I must be trying in the wrong place...please point me to where i can change this in the PLC.   I am getting an error in my RXDU with a Honeywell barcode reader, on one machine, I am thinking it is related.   thanks for any help.
  11. I am having trouble loading the configuration into a Micro984-230. I lost an old M84-002 PLC. I have the program. I purchased a Micro994-230 replacement. I lost my cable, so I made a new one. The only software that I have still running is Updoc 4.30b. I tested out my cable and Updoc by connecting to a 984-381. Everything worked fine online and offline. The error I get during the configuration loading is communication error 13. I have no idea what that is. Perhaps I can't do configuration loading with Updoc. I have Modsoft Lite  working but I do not think that it works with this controller. It is for MIcro and Compact controllers. I may have modsoft and taylor kicking around but I do not know if they are installable or not. I hope I can find out if my config is improper, I have used the wrong controller setup file (used Micro984), or where iI can have the config loaded for me? I also do not know if this used controller is functioning correctly.
  12. CPM1A-AD041 configuration

hello guys .. am the new guy in this forum I am having a problem with CPM1A-AD041  configuration. Please suggest what type of operands (Data Type, Address) should be defined for the selected operand (see attachment drawing). This example is taken from the module's configuration manual for CP1H CPU Unit (WA450-E1-06). CPM1A-AD041 works with CP1H-XA40DR-A. thanks in advanced :)
  13. Hi, Good day to all,   I got a situation regarding the redundancy configuration. Please refer to the image attached (Page 26, Enhanced Redundancy User Manual). Notice the 1756 ControlLogix I/O inside the green box! The chassis hasn't got a CPU but only has an Ethernet IP module for the entire chassis. Does anyone know how to add and configure this chassis to the I/O configuration tree of RSLogix5K (Logix Designer 5k)? On my configuration, I've also inserted 2 MVI56E-MNETC Modbus TCP/IP Module in addition to the standard I/O Modules. Is my configuration possible? I appreciate any help I could get, thank you very much!   Sincerely, Andrei O. Karunungan

  16. Has anybody used the Spectrum Controls 2080sc-IF4u analog module? This is a 4 channel analog module for the Micro800 series?  I'm trying to set input 4 to (0-5v, x10(format)2-wire, 60HZ). I need someone to help me figure out the bit setting. This is what I have LSB=44 and MSB=44 could some else confirm this? Thanks
  17. FX3G Hardware configuration

Dear All, I really appreciate in advance your help in this problem. This is my first project with Mitsubishi PLC. I am using GX Works 2 for programming. Hardware is FX2G-24M base unit + FX2n-16EX extension module. I already started a new program and download simple rung on PLC, put PLC in run mode, test it and working properly. the problem is that I do not know what is the address of inputs of extension module. I tried to complete and use X016 but no response in PLC. kindly advise what shall I do. Thanks
  18. Hey, this may be an obvious question, but here goes: I have a CompactLogix L36ERM running RL5000 controlling one of our lead die cast machines. When I make a change to the program offline and need to download I always go and shut the machine down for safety reasons before downloading. One of our techs stopped the machine but left the control power and hydraulic pump on while downloading (something we are not supposed to do) when he finished downloading he switched it back to run mode and the machine closed on it's own and started right back up. This is a safety concern to me. We have a "close enable" tag that is true when all necessary conditions are met, and gets latched on when the machine is running in full auto. Before he downloaded the machine was at idle, meaning that the only way to close the machine would be to press the two dead-man switches to start the process. But, when he downloaded it started up automatically. Now I know the reason why is when the program was last saved, the "close enable" tag had a value of 1, it was latched on, so it bypassed the dead-man switches. A quick fix would be to save the program with that tag un-latched so that it can't start up on it's own after downloading. But, in case somebody saves the program while the machine is running and with that tag latched on, I need a better solution. Is there any tag or bit that goes true when a program is downloaded or when the mode of the PLC is switched from run to download to run? I want to manipulate that tag so that when I download it un-latches the "close enable" tag. I'm sure there is a way to do it, I'm just not even really sure what to search for in the online help. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Howard
  19. HMI Transparent Mode

Hi all. I currently have a scenario where I connect with a SCADA (OPC using virtual com port) to an Controller (A-series) via E300 HMI using transparent mode. This setup works fine, no problems. I have now upgraded the E300 to the E1032 HMI with all the same settings, except the E300 was using an expansion Ethernet card and the E1032 is using the built-in Ethernet port. Now with the E1032 in place the SCADA (OPC) just cannot get healthy comms to the A series PLC. Am I missing something somewhere?
