  1. Here is a link to a thread on a recent post showing how to communicate serially to an Omron PLC using VB.Net. This uses the Omron Host Link serial protocols. (C-Mode Commands) It will read 10 DM registers and display them on the form. Here is the source program that can be downloaded. Other links: VB6 Program: VBA Program: Regards, Garry
  2. Link register in Q series plc

How to use link register(w) in ladder program? And how can we configure that ? And How to read and write values to that register?
  3. RS232 ascii to CC-Link

Hey all, im looking for some way to convert ASCII msg from rfid reader send through rs232 to CC-Link, I've found AJ65 from mitsu and some converter from Anybus, but I would like something much smaller...   changing readers for some CC-link compatible is most likely out of question (unless reader will be cheaper than converter), because they are legacy HW with hundreds of them instaled   Thank you
  4. Hallo. I want to know if its possible to write to eeprom of an A800E inverter via cc-link ie. I have successfully written and read any parameter to the ram. But now i need some parameters to be stored in the eeprom. Im using the A8NCE card on the inverter. The manual only states a bit to write speed and torque to eeprom, but nothing on any other parameters.
  5. 1746-NO8V configuration

Looking for a little help.  Replaced a 1746-NO8V analog card that hadn't been working for years and the new card is giving a Configuration Error (Module LED flashes twice, all 8 outputs are flashing 12 times).  I have 2 other of the same cards in the same rack that have been working for a very long time and still working that seem to be configured the same way.  Is there any way to know what is wrong with my configuration.  or maybe my new card is just bad???  I have not yet swapped one of my working cards with the new card, have considered but really think I'm missing something.
  6. I am trying to setup a CC Link between two machines. I have done this before without issue, but for some reason this is not going well.. I added a second CC link card to CPU2 and set it as ST 24 for the CPU1 network.  CPU 1 : Master.   cc0.jpg.   The original machine was setup using TO/From for each station, so i couldn't add this new link through the GUI.  CPU 2: Local cc1.jpg  When i try to use the GUI to setup this side the buffer stops working. but if i activate any TO/From instruction here i get a system fault with a 2110 SP. Unit Error CPU2 buffer cc2.jpg. But when i block the TO/From you can see the buffer is working at that exact same location specified.    2110 error says I am addressing the wrong card but the buffer proves that I am not.
  7. Hallo. Im hoping someone can shed some light on these topics. The company im working for have been using gx developer iec 7.04 for ages. The setup we have been using is QxUDE plc with beijer HMI and FR-E700 inverters on profibus. Recently(finally) we have been forced to start using gx works 2 because of newer plcs. With new software come new questions as always. And since im feeling we have been hanging in old software for too long. I want to make sure we are up to date this time. The setup we plan on using is QxUDV cpu, CC-link ie (QJ71GF11-T2), FR-A800 inverters and GOT 2000 for HMI I have made a few project in siemens and TIA portal. And software wise it has always annoyed me, that mitsubishi lacked the same integrated software package as siemens. This made me discover navigator. With system labels navigator makes the variable control, hardware setup and project overview im missing from siemens possible. My question to navigator is. Does people use this? i dont see much about it on the forum? is it already outdated? Gx works 2 or 3 Again i cant figure out what is new and what is old. What are the pros and con for choosing either? CC-link ie or CC-link From internet reading. I find that IE is the newest and faster CC-link version? Is the classic CC-link on the way out? If not why should i choose IE over classic? When setting up CC-link IE in navigator i dont get the same hardware in the catalog as CC-link. To setup inverters i need to user general intelligent device station. Whereas in cc-link i can choose FR-inverters. Is this the way it works? or can hardware catalogs be updated somehow? Blocks for FR-A800 Maybe its just me. but i really think the search function on the mitsubishi download page is crap. When i filter QPLC i get LPLC etc. ive been trying to find some blocks to control inverters without luck. Do i start creating it myself or can you point me in the right direction? I know these are a lot of mixes questions. But i feel we have been non-efficient for years because of bad software choices. Hope someone can shed some light one these points.
  8. I need solution for master & slave configuration between 2 PLC Twido TWDLCAE40DRF. My final project is about a system for filling drink on a cup and do the packaging. the component of the project is the filling system (dropping cup, filling water, pressing the seal) and the packing (packing into a box and sealing the box). This project is using 2 PLC Twido TWDLCAE40DRF. My problem is how to configure one of them as the master and the other as the slave. I've read the manual book but it's hard to understand the instruction. if anyone can give a simplify explaination to me please reply this post or you can reach me at mail:
  9. Hello. There is a controller FX5U-32MP in the presence, the inscription "CC-Link IE Field Basic" and the Inverter (FR-A840-00170-E2-60) near the connector, the inscription "CC-Link IE Field Basic" on the front panel. I set up both devices according to the instructions. It turns out to read the state of the inverter (state, frequency). And I can not manage from the controller. Already all the settings that could have changed. Can you scribble what is wrong? p.s. Sorry for the bad english.

  13. Help with CC - Link IE Field

Hi Im working with an iQ-R CPU wich controls 6 conveyors with a CC-Link IE Field Network, the CC-Link module is a RJ71EN71. Each conveyor has a remote I/O (NZ2GF2B1-16TE Digital outputs main module with a NZ2EX2B1-16D extension for Digital Inputs). The communication in the CC - Link IE Field diagnostic appears to be OK, but I can´t send or receive IO signals from the Batch Monitor of Gx Works 3. Thanks for your attention!
  14. FX5 CC-Link IEF Basic

hello. I have developed project with 3 FX3U PLCs with ENET modules for communicating between them, and one of fx3u connected by profibus with 2 fx2n-32DP-IF I/O station (developed just hardware). This project still wait when customer accept it. I'm exactly sure that it will work perfectly. But now i think about exchange old and expensive fx3u to fx5u. I search for best solution for this task on fx5. I have a doubt with I/O station. Each remote station consist of 32 inputs,16 outputs, 8 AI. So i considered as a solution CC-Link IE Basic because no need buy additional modules. Did someone use fx5 CC-Link IEF Basic? As i understand ie field basic configurations like simple rs485 cc-link with occupied station, not like full ie field. FX5U can be the master of CC-link IEF basic with embedded ethernet with 6 slaves station and can be local station with FX5-CCLIEF module. But i not sure that i can use fx5 with NZ2 CC-Link IE Field Remote I/O. I have a doubt with configuration this station, because in CC-link IEF i can add this station and see how many rx/ry rww/rwr points i need, but for CC-link IEF basic configuration i can add just CC-link IEF basic module and choose number of occupied station. Slave 1) NZ2GFCE3-32D + NZ2EX2S1-16T (32/16) and  NZ2GF2BN-60AD4 + NZ2EX2B-60AD4  (8 AI). Slave 2) NZ2GFCE3-32D + NZ2EX2S1-16T (32/16) and  NZ2GF2BN-60AD4 + NZ2EX2B-60AD4  (8 AI). So can it work if not what device can be used with CC-link IEF basic? What benefits can give cc link ie field basic network than ethernet socket connection via UDP between 3 fx5 plcs? Or easier way using ST lite series and try to connect via modbus tcp.(as i understand fx5 provide p502 and modbus tcp)

  17. CC-link no digital output

Hello, I have set up a new CC-link to add I/O to our existing factory PLC (Q03 series CPU). The CC-link system comprises of a master station (QJ61BT11N) and a remote device station (STlite STL-BT1) with several DI, DO and AD modules. Parameters are as per the STlite quick start guide example except no. of occupied stations is 3. In PLC Parameter I/O assignment the master station is a intelligent type and occupies 128 points from 0D00. Digital/analogue inputs are being read in the CPU and there are no error lights on either the master/remote stations. However digital output commands are not registered at the remote device station (LED lights on the module show which DO is active). Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm new to this and I've been hitting my head against a wall for a while on this one now. Cheers
  18. I am having trouble loading the configuration into a Micro984-230. I lost an old M84-002 PLC. I have the program. I purchased a Micro994-230 replacement. I lost my cable, so I made a new one. The only software that I have still running is Updoc 4.30b. I tested out my cable and Updoc by connecting to a 984-381. Everything worked fine online and offline. The error I get during the configuration loading is communication error 13. I have no idea what that is. Perhaps I can't do configuration loading with Updoc. I have Modsoft Lite  working but I do not think that it works with this controller. It is for MIcro and Compact controllers. I may have modsoft and taylor kicking around but I do not know if they are installable or not. I hope I can find out if my config is improper, I have used the wrong controller setup file (used Micro984), or where iI can have the config loaded for me? I also do not know if this used controller is functioning correctly.
  19. CPM1A-AD041 configuration

hello guys .. am the new guy in this forum I am having a problem with CPM1A-AD041  configuration. Please suggest what type of operands (Data Type, Address) should be defined for the selected operand (see attachment drawing). This example is taken from the module's configuration manual for CP1H CPU Unit (WA450-E1-06). CPM1A-AD041 works with CP1H-XA40DR-A. thanks in advanced :)
  20. io-link integration

I recently purchased a s7-1200 starter kit, a sm 1278 io-link modula and a io link linear sensor from turck. Un until now everything is installed and the sensor is cofigurated. Now the queastion is how do i get the value from the sensor into a tag in a datablock? As you can see in picture tia4 I started to fil in the device block but I could'nt figue everything out. (I am failry new to tia portal) With kind regards Dominique Hautekeete
  21. Hi, Good day to all,   I got a situation regarding the redundancy configuration. Please refer to the image attached (Page 26, Enhanced Redundancy User Manual). Notice the 1756 ControlLogix I/O inside the green box! The chassis hasn't got a CPU but only has an Ethernet IP module for the entire chassis. Does anyone know how to add and configure this chassis to the I/O configuration tree of RSLogix5K (Logix Designer 5k)? On my configuration, I've also inserted 2 MVI56E-MNETC Modbus TCP/IP Module in addition to the standard I/O Modules. Is my configuration possible? I appreciate any help I could get, thank you very much!   Sincerely, Andrei O. Karunungan
  22. Has anybody used the Spectrum Controls 2080sc-IF4u analog module? This is a 4 channel analog module for the Micro800 series?  I'm trying to set input 4 to (0-5v, x10(format)2-wire, 60HZ). I need someone to help me figure out the bit setting. This is what I have LSB=44 and MSB=44 could some else confirm this? Thanks
  23. I am adding a remote device to an existing cc-link network. The master station is an A1SJ61BT11 and the CPU is A2USHCPU-S1. The CC-Link network currently has 20 remote I/O stations and I am adding a remote device. The A1SJ61BT11 has parameters written to its internal memory. In order to add my new remote device, I think I need to only change two parameters: First, I need to change parameter address H1 from 20 to 21 since my device will be the 21st. Second, I need to change station information parameter address H34 from 277 to 4373 to enter it as remote device. I looked at the example in IB(NA)-66721-J(0310)MEE, section 6.3. In the example, they are setting up the parameters for the first time. However, I am only changing two of the parameters. I followed the example except I only entered rungs to change the parameters for H1 and H34. My question: If I run the parameter setting program to only enter parameters for H1 and H34, will it affect the other parameters the original programmer entered? Could they go back to default? Any advice? Thanks in advance
  24. Here is a link to a blog post that will use Excel VBA to communicate to the Omron Host Link. It program NETComm.ocx for the serial driver. Here is pat of the blog... In Part 1, we used VB6 to communicate from the computer to the PLC. We will now use Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to accomplish the same task. NETComm will be the serial driver and Excel will be the program that we will use. Using Excel we will have access to the Excel Object Model so we can utilize worksheets, ranges etc. Please refer to Part 1 (How to Implement the Omron PLC Host Link Protocol) for the details of the wiring of the serial port and protocol sequence. Continue to the blog post... Thought that I would share. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Garry
