  2. RS232 ascii to CC-Link

Hey all, im looking for some way to convert ASCII msg from rfid reader send through rs232 to CC-Link, I've found AJ65 from mitsu and some converter from Anybus, but I would like something much smaller...   changing readers for some CC-link compatible is most likely out of question (unless reader will be cheaper than converter), because they are legacy HW with hundreds of them instaled   Thank you
  3. Hallo. I want to know if its possible to write to eeprom of an A800E inverter via cc-link ie. I have successfully written and read any parameter to the ram. But now i need some parameters to be stored in the eeprom. Im using the A8NCE card on the inverter. The manual only states a bit to write speed and torque to eeprom, but nothing on any other parameters.

  5. Hallo. Im hoping someone can shed some light on these topics. The company im working for have been using gx developer iec 7.04 for ages. The setup we have been using is QxUDE plc with beijer HMI and FR-E700 inverters on profibus. Recently(finally) we have been forced to start using gx works 2 because of newer plcs. With new software come new questions as always. And since im feeling we have been hanging in old software for too long. I want to make sure we are up to date this time. The setup we plan on using is QxUDV cpu, CC-link ie (QJ71GF11-T2), FR-A800 inverters and GOT 2000 for HMI I have made a few project in siemens and TIA portal. And software wise it has always annoyed me, that mitsubishi lacked the same integrated software package as siemens. This made me discover navigator. With system labels navigator makes the variable control, hardware setup and project overview im missing from siemens possible. My question to navigator is. Does people use this? i dont see much about it on the forum? is it already outdated? Gx works 2 or 3 Again i cant figure out what is new and what is old. What are the pros and con for choosing either? CC-link ie or CC-link From internet reading. I find that IE is the newest and faster CC-link version? Is the classic CC-link on the way out? If not why should i choose IE over classic? When setting up CC-link IE in navigator i dont get the same hardware in the catalog as CC-link. To setup inverters i need to user general intelligent device station. Whereas in cc-link i can choose FR-inverters. Is this the way it works? or can hardware catalogs be updated somehow? Blocks for FR-A800 Maybe its just me. but i really think the search function on the mitsubishi download page is crap. When i filter QPLC i get LPLC etc. ive been trying to find some blocks to control inverters without luck. Do i start creating it myself or can you point me in the right direction? I know these are a lot of mixes questions. But i feel we have been non-efficient for years because of bad software choices. Hope someone can shed some light one these points.
  6. GX Works2 Q Series TCP issues

Hey guys, been looking around for a solution and I was brought here.  I'm a programmer at a place that just put in a bunch of these Mitsubishi Q series QJ71e71-100 ethernet controllers.  I wrote a TCP server in Java to try and talk to them.  I'm trying to get data sent over from a little GOT1000 test terminal.  The zp.open command is working fine and i'm seeing a good syn-ack handshake, and if i push some text to the plc from the program I get a response (even if it is always the same nonsense).  but when i try to use the zp.send it fails, I get error C1A6 on the ladder program and the q series lights up the comm error light.  I know I'm being super vague here, I was just hoping to gain some insight.  I don't much know what to expect from this forum if you guys are active or if my question even has an answer but i've been banging my head against the wall for days now.  I'm just using a tutorial program from the q series manual and a super basic tcp handler in java.  If there's any other information I can provide let me know.
  7. I'm having trouble in finding a complete manual instruction and set-up on setting up a communication on a Q-series PLC to a inverter a700/a800 via RS-485. I have a manual for fx series, are the parameters the same as the fx series? how about the program, like  starting or stopping the motor? Are they same or not? In the Q-series, do i leave switch-5 "station no. setting" blank? i just started this so i hope that i can make this work after new year. This is the manual for the fx-series plc====> http://www.automationsystemsandcontrols.net.au/PDF%27s%20Mitsubishi/Manuals/FPLC/FX%20SERIES%20USER%27S%20MANUAL%20-%20Data%20Communication%20Edition.pdf   PS: I'm mostly self study because i don't have proper training yet and my school sucks.

  9. Hello. There is a controller FX5U-32MP in the presence, the inscription "CC-Link IE Field Basic" and the Inverter (FR-A840-00170-E2-60) near the connector, the inscription "CC-Link IE Field Basic" on the front panel. I set up both devices according to the instructions. It turns out to read the state of the inverter (state, frequency). And I can not manage from the controller. Already all the settings that could have changed. Can you scribble what is wrong? p.s. Sorry for the bad english.

  18. Rx3i to Balluff IO Master

Wanting to write to Balluff Smart Lights via IO Link Master IP #BNI EIP-502-105-Z015.  I can find lots of literature on setting up the communication via E/IP in RSLogix 5000 but haven't located anything with Machine edition for writing the data over IP.  I am utilizing an Rx3i platform with IC695CPU315 and IC695ETM001 for network access
  19. Hi, I have a question about error clear on Mitsubishi Q Series (Q03UDE). Is there a way to clear 4100 error without power cycle CPU??? I've cleared the cause of the problem and I've tried to clear CPU error using SM50. I've put code 4100 into SD50 and then turned SM50 off and then on again, but CPU is still in ERROR state and I cannot switch it back on into RUN mode. I have to turn the power off then on again and that is solving the problem. The problem is that sometimes it is very hard to get to control cabinet to power cycle CPU. I would like to clear this error remotely if possible. Any ideas???
  20. Help with CC - Link IE Field

Hi Im working with an iQ-R CPU wich controls 6 conveyors with a CC-Link IE Field Network, the CC-Link module is a RJ71EN71. Each conveyor has a remote I/O (NZ2GF2B1-16TE Digital outputs main module with a NZ2EX2B1-16D extension for Digital Inputs). The communication in the CC - Link IE Field diagnostic appears to be OK, but I can´t send or receive IO signals from the Batch Monitor of Gx Works 3. Thanks for your attention!
  21. Hello all, I have 7 Q series PLCs on a Melsec net/h network, Ladder Programming none of that fancy smancy ST stuff LOL. Were running the QJ71LP21-25. Now to keep it short I have used all most all my devices in my Network Range Assignment. I can not set up low speed range as I do not have enough Link relays and registers at all stations. No memory for more devices just trust that I can not do it... However I have an abundance of File Registers ( no I cant buy B or W in the PLC File params, well I can but it wont help because only one CPU is UDE the rest are H.) I have a project in which I must see about 50 words for each Station at every Station. I figured while I am setting up a Transient Transfer I will make a bunch of extra room for future updates and junk. My answer good or bad, is to set up some Send/Recv commands and do some Transient Transfer. I think I have it just about all figured out just a few questions. I have two manuals I have been getting my info from Q MELSECNET/H Network System Reference Manual ( I think SHNA080049)  and the Melsecnet/h training manual.  1.Any one have any better manuals that better cover transient transfer? Or that are new enough to mention GX Works2 instead of Developer? 2. Is there a max device for each send/recv? (I keep thinking it is 980 per station but no idea where I got this number)( I will increase the max # of transients in the supplementary settings under network range...) 3. Any precautions or advice like, Hey don't do this, I did this once and.... 4. It looks like as long as I use different logical channels for each station I should be able to send and receive multiple "messages" at once with no error?? (I will test this and look for the "no room in receive buffer area f222 error)  5. Will this slow down the Cyclic transfers (I will be watching the SW006D and so on to make sure it does not slow my regular transmission down.) 6. I will be using several special relays and registers in the program of course. Any I should use that are not obvious?
  22. We have L61's and L63's and are looking at upgrading them to the L7 equivalent. Has anyone had any experience of this and any pitfalls to avoid? Tech support have said that there might be issues with the comms cards resolved by updating their firmware. Is the upgrade that simple? We currently use Logix5000 at version 20.01 but are preparing to go to Studio5000 as part of the upgrade.

  25. Hi, My Powerflex 525 Drive is currently working in the Project. I wanted to observe the drive parameters when the drive is running and live with PLC. I usually do that by getting online with the PLC (1756L72S) from RSLogix5000 and then by going in to the Drive Properties from the I/O Configuration folder i use to click on Drive tab and from there i was able to observe all the Drive parameters with the real-time values on which drive is running. Now when i try to observe the Same real time parameters on my other PF525 drive, i follow the same procedure as mentioned above till going into the Drive properties and when i try to click on drive tab its gives me a Screen with a message "AUTOMATIC CONNECTION FAILED". The status of drive in the drive properties still shows me that the drive is running. How can i observe the Real-time Parameters for this other PF525 Drive? Thanks.
