  1. Everyone, Using a Q series Mitsu PLC interfacing with a M1P Pilz Safety PLC - and only receiving 32 bits from the SPLC. I have the station setup in GXWorks2 as a device station (occupying 4 stations). I am receiving only the 1st station of the 4 designated. (It is node 9 in the snippet) Any tips on this? Hello,  I got Allen-Bradley  1769-L36ERMS, AB Powerflex 755 and 20-750-S3 safety card.  According to: https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/946912 „"There is NO Integrated Motion / CIP Motion support with 20-750-S3 safety card” so I want to run hardwired emergency shutdown system.  How can I configure this module with safety card in PLC?

Hi this might be stupid question, but I'm trying to use these functions for recipes: SaveAllRecipes(GetSelectedRecipeTemplate("myPage","myRecipe") System.IO.File.Copy(SAVEDRECIPEPATH?, SDCARDPATH?) Where does this save file go, which path I got to copy to use on my SD card? Then also to import recipe want to: ImportRecipes(myRecipe.SelectedTemplate, SDCARDPATH? & myRecipe.SelectedTemplate & ".csv") Also mention that there's no computer connected to the controller. When I was doing my simulations I could see that SaveAllRecipes generated csv file that went to "C:\OMRON\Data\Temp" folder. But there's no computer to store the saved recipe in this case.     Hello write now i am working with Q6UDEH PLC  project in which (nextgen 2000) 6021 card is used for conversion of serial to Ethernet data & vice versa , is it possible  by only installing the Mitsubishi serial drivers ?? or can anybody tell me how these Mitsubishi serial drivers works ??

  6. Hello, I need to make an ethernet communication Siemens S7-300 <> Omron G9SP. The HW of the Siemens that i us are CPU 315 2DP and CP 343-1 Lean. I did try to follow the Omron manuals Z922 and Z924, but faced with some problems. First of all in Z924 there is no complete HW configuration of Siemens (communication configuration is missing). Also, formats of messages differ in both manuals. Maybe there is an Simatic Step 7 project example, that i could open with Simatic Step 7 manager to do a deeper investigation, or maybe somebody has a lot more experience in this case?   8. Upload file using CF card

    Hello all I have a folding machine with Omron PLC and HMI NS5-SQ10B-ECV2, the problem is the hmi software disappeared and " No project data" appeared. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me A single Ipp file. i am not really experienced in omron but i knew that i can upload the soft using CF card so, i used it and switch DIP6 , and the HMI recognized the CF card put it did't see any software. i tried to put the soft in folder with the same name but with no luck. I attached the file he sent me. 出口.IPP

  11. Good day, We are using Guardlogix 1756-72s controllers for our ESD system. We created safety add-on instruction in RSLogix5000 v20 and wanted to test it using RSLogix Emulate 5000, however we are getting an error that safety add-on instructions are not supported in standard controllers. Is there a way to test safety code using Emualate or Softlogix?
  12. Hello, My quest is to make a memory card, which I can just put into my PLC on the field and load all program and options etc to my plc. Now i found the official omron guide about it but its not good at all... For example is does not explain that how i need to transfer the H and D memory part to the plc, and that not all network settings are being copied if im not careful.   But my question is: is it possible to make this backup memory card without having the actual plc? Because the process is done in memory card window, which is only available if you are online. So basicly i have to get all the plc rack parts to make this work? I tried with the simulator but ofc it is not working.   Someone mentioned me that it is possible he heard from someone but no one actually knows how to. And there is nothing in the omron manual as i see.
  13. I have read that it is possible, in CXDesigner, to download the program from the computer onto a memory card, and then download from the memory card into the HMI terminal. Is a similar thing possible with CXProgrammer, and PLCs? It would be quite useful, for the purposes of updating the program on a customer PLC that is located overseas, when the customer does not own a laptop with CXProgrammer installed.
  14. Writing access to Safety CPU

    Hello. I tried to read/write from/to safety cpu (QS001) over MC protocol. I managed to read from cpu devices but i couldn't write to any safety cpu device. It was possible to write data to Q series plc (Q02HCPU in my example) with MC protocol. I am searching any method of writing to safety cpu (QS001). If anyone could this before? And are there any settings in GX Developer (GX works) for access to writing to QSCPU? P.S: As known it's possible to read/write from/to Q series PLC with MX Component. It's also available reading from QSCPU with MX component. But cannot write to safety cpu with MX component (written in Mx component manual). Thanks.

  16. Hello! I have a problem with Allen-Bradley High Speed Counter card 1734-VHSC24/C. I need to make changes to the configuration parameter .OnValue1 (DINT) during the system is running. Now, for changing the parameter value, I need to switch off the module and this can not be done during the line is running. I think that maybe this can be done using the explicit messaging. I could not find information for this from internet, so now I ask you to help me with this item. If anyone have experience or knowledge of this, please help me. I do no have experience using explicit messaging. My configuration: Studio 5000 Logix Designer V24.00, 1756-L71S V24.11, Ethernet/IP, 1734AENTR, 1734-VHSC24/C countermodule.

Hi all, Currently running a Quantum 140-CPU-652-60 FW3.12 out to a remote rack over a Modbus Drop in to a 140-EHC-105-00 High Speed Counter, words are mapped OK to the program, configured at a type 7 setup (1sec frequency) etc. The card used to work when we were running the system as a ConceptXL 2.6 setup with a 140-CPU-534-14. We have just upgraded to UnityProXLv8 and it stopped. The mapping is configured by word to bit / bit to word across the %IW and %MW (previously 948 3x and 4x registers, but converted nicely, everything is aligning). Anyone stumbled across this issue before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob

  19. Several years ago before I arrived at my company, an integrator came in to do the automation on our system. They used a Controllogix 1756-L61S for the safety portion of the project. Apparently, when they completed the job they did not provide the source code with comments, safety password, etc. for anything and it got ugly between our company and theirs. In other words, they would not provide it if we went back to ask them. Allen Bradley has told us that we can not make any alterations now to the safety logic because we do not have the password that was used to create it. And they said there is no longer a master password that you could use like in previous controllers. Does anybody know of any workarounds for this? Or have heard of anything that might possibly work?
  20. Need help with OB16E

    I am trying to determine or find any figures that could assist in obtaining the lifespan of a single output of a 1756-OB16E output card. I have a signal sending 400 pulses a minute to an output. I am starting think about when this card or output may need to be replaced before failure. I was given a MTBF range by Rockwell for the card itself but they could not expand on the likelyhood of the output failing exponentially due to the rapid signalling. I could also not find anything in the manual itself that could provide me with an idea of longevity, I could be missing it? Also with this project I experienced something odd with the originally scoped hardware, a solid state 24VDC relay (700-HLS1.) By measuring the resistance I was able to see that the relay should have been opening and closing but the signal was not being received. So, I swapped the solid state relay for a mechanical relay and it worked fine. I was curious if the leakage could have an effect on this. The problem with the mechanical relay is that the life is dramatically reduced to about a month for this installation, life for the relay is shown at about 10,000,000 actuations. I was hoping to have this working with a little longer life expectancy. If anyone has any experience / tips / or suggestions it would be much appreciated! PG
  21. I have a question regarding hazardous zone design. My control cabinet will be in safe area but I need to have e-stop and safety limit switch located in hazardous area, Div 1 Zone 1. I am assuming that I can use zener barriers or isolators between the field devices and safety relay. I just wonder if the safety relay will function properly with barriers in between? Also do I have to use 24VDC safety relay for this application? I don't know what voltage/current is present on the terminals connecting to safety devices.
  22. Hello everybody, I'm designing a safety system for a HV power supply. The idea is to use a series of 2 contactors to supply power to the system controlled by a safety PLC. So, it is a typical application. The problem is that the power supply and the contactors are are installed on HV platform, isolated from ground, where the PLC is installed. I think the only possibility is to use an optic fiber link. Does any body know is there is any way to connect a contactor to a PLC output using an optic fiber link, without compromise the cyclical checking performed by the safety module (as I understand, the outputs are continuously check in order to detect wire breaking). The alternative that I have is to use a distributed IO system installed on the platform, connected with a Ethernet Optic Fiber to the PLC: for example using a simens S7-400 PCL with a IM467FO modules (on ground) and a ET200M system with a IM153-2FO module on the platform. But I wonder if there is something more simple and cheaper. Thanks!
