    good evening. Someone can give tips on how to configure and physical the application with the following items: Advanced Interface Converters (AIC +), PanelView800 2711R-T7T A and MicroLogix 1500 Programmable Controllers My doubts are about the configuration of the communication, and I have doubts about the physical environment and protocol to be used.  
  2. I have multiple PVP 1500's on the same network. From the one in my control room i need to be able to see what user is logged into what HMI. How would I address the system tag of another HMI on the same network would I use the IP address? thank you for any help in advance

I got into a project were they have 20 panelviews plus 1500 around the building, and they want to be able to serrate the displays accessible by the users based on the physical location of the panelview, for example Room1 should not see room2 but can see room3, at this moment we have a complete application with all the screens that have been downloaded to all panelviews, in order to avoid maintain 20 different ME applications I would like to ask if any of you had this problem before or any ideas on how to go forward with it.   Thanks
  4. All, I am using Keyence CV-X422A vision controller for my application. It is interfaced with Siemens S7-1500 PLC on PROFINET. I am able to communicate with Vision controller through PLC logic command and status IOs. There is some communication issue in updating the o/p values from Camera Controller. I have tried with & w/o Handshake Mode with these settings. The camera display shows the reject but camera never turns ON the NG Status o/p. I tried different things told by Keyence Tech support but none of them worked.  He told me to have you enable the “Result ACK Flag” in the bit allocation area and send  a signal to it. Then trigger it again with a no good part and see if that fixes the issue. I tried setting the “Result ACK Flag” to 1 after I get the “Command Complete Flag” for the trigger signal that I sent. Sometimes this works but still it is not reliable. Do I need to send only a pulse to “Result ACK Flag”? Anyone here has ever faced similar issue?  Thanks for your help. AP

    Hello: Has any body encountered Profinet IO cyclic communication establishment problems between the latest S7-1500 PLC with firmware 2.0 or later and non-Siemens Profinet devices which had previously passed conformance testing campaigns? Thanks for your comments.    
  7. Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to limit the number of allowed on-line connections at a time to a PLC? Like can you somehow set in the PLC parameters that only 1 'connection' can be on-line in the device at a time? Thanks Edit: I'm referring to connections from the TIA portal - not HMI / ethernet connections and so forth

  9. S7-1500 HW Interrupt

    Hi Guys, I'm still here asking your help because i need to reproduce a previous work that i did on omron series. Now i'm using a Siemens 1510SP-1PN CPU, with a DI 24VDC module assigned in the first slot. I would like to know how to call an interrupt task every time that a rising edge on E0.0 and E0.1 occurs. I  have configured the I/O settings of the module, to call the OB40 hardware interrupt block, but unfortunately i don't know how to assign the addresses to a specified OB, otherwise i noticed that if this option is enabled, instead of the default settings, the CPU can't see the input addresses rise up or turn on; If i configure back the default settings i can see again in a variable table the address E0.0 turn on, why this happens? Is this meaning that i can't use this address for other tasks or other functions? Can i call a hardware interrupt or something like that with an internal variable like a merker? What instructions i must use to enable and activate the OB40? Thank you! Best Regards.

  12. Micrologix 1500 PLC tripping /stopping periodically with red led indication . It is showing error 679H It is also showing error on Analog Output Card which is at slot 6 . After clearing error it starts and stops again after some time . Requested to suggest me any solutions for eliminating the problem

  14. Good day to all, Please i need your support. I am new to world of Plc. I just bought a micrologix 1500(1764-24BWA) Plc for my training program. I have a question with respect to the Input terminal 24V DC. I connected L1,L2 and the ground at the Output terminal to a 230VAC and power On the Equipment, everything was okay. My question is do I still need to connect the -DC and + DC at the Input terminal to a 24VDC external power supply to get the needed 24VDC for the Input terminal or the 24VDC comes from the internal voltage conversion of the PLC.     Dear Friends, In my present project, I have a S7-1500 PLC & 3 Nos, Sinamics VFDs(PM-240s) with Profinet ports.(CU-240E -2PN) The drives and PLCs are on the same Profinet network. I wish to know the essentials of controlling the command and speed reference of these drives directly from the PLC on profinet. Reading the help in TIA portal got me nowhere its all about Telegrams and things that I haven't figured out yet Thanks for looking in; I shall greatly value all help and advice.
  16. Hi guys, I am a little new to TIA portal. My question is whether it is possible to create structures of data (UDTs) and use them without addresses in the program?
