  1. Hello I have a problem with an Allen- Bradley 1769 Compactlogix plc. On July 4th a lightning strike occurred and damaged an analog card on the plc rack. Upon replacing the card my I/O not responding light is blinking. It was blinking before I replaced the card as well, but I assumed that was because one of my cards was bad. I have checked all the connections and replaced the power supply along with the right end cap. Still no go. The error on the module is 16#0110 Connection Request Error: Module Not Configured. I have reloaded the program several times with no luck. I cannot see the cards on my rslinx tree as well. I am using an L32E processor version 19.1. This unit has been in service for over 5 years.
  2. 2 wire 1769-IF4II

Ok so 24 vdc as the first wire brought back to the plc as the second wire. The plc should be wired to the common.
  3. 2 wire 1769-IF4II

Thank you for your response, If I try to use a 4-20 mA signal can I get away with two wire control?
  4. Hello, I have a problem trying to convert an Allen-Bradley 1769-IF4I analog input card from three wire to two wire. The three wire used a seperate wire for the 24 vdc power supply. I have a Rosemount ultrasonic that requires 24vdc to power the display. I always thought that the analog cards supplied the 24 vdc along with the 4-20 Ma sign al. Right now I am wired to ch2 with a jumper on the channel, but I do not have any display to the ultrasonic. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
