Hi, it is very user friendly to use siemens products any how follow the steps given below will solve your problem Considered your input to 1st channel is 0-10VDC then 1.Check the jumper setting and makesure it is in correct possition 2.connect 9V battery to correct terminals on 1st channel (common and Voltage) 3.Go to hardware check for channel setting for 0-10 Volts 4.Check for 1st channel address 5.Check module status online if ok 6.type the address in monitor modify variables and check for digital value around 30000 approx. if it is ok then connect your external device no if you have any problem it is sure there is a impudence mismatching problem in between then use a 0-10 VDC to 0-10VDC singal isolator it will solve your problem Regards N.Subrahmanyam

Hi, Thanks for your reply any how i will explain briefly as below I have SLC-5/05 connected to switch, and further to SCADA station RSview, i have a third party devise that is Carrier make Chiller with Modbus it needs to be controlled from SCADA station i.e. reading process values and writing set values and on/off of chiller, for that i am planning to connect the chiller by using a Modbus to Ethernet converter so that i can connect chiller to switch via this converter but now how can i do the programming in RSL500 please suggest if you have any idea. I know it can be done by using a ML1100 or Prosoft please tell me if any other method is there Thx N.Subrahmanyam

Hi, Thanks for your reply any how you can consider S7-200/SLC500. Infact there will be a cam which rotates and activates Limit Switch and th Limit Switch will be on for more than one sec.which is sufficient to drive solenoid, main problem is with very old hydraulic system in this we need to control turret index, for this there are two Solenoids , when we power up we can on any Solenoid to index but next time we need to on the other one again first one, this is the sequence. Hi, No one is offering 0-24vdc analog out put module, but still you can use one Signal Isolator in between to convert your 0 - 10VDC (From PLC) to 0 - 24VDC it will solve your problem and this is the only one and best method for you. Regards N.Subrahmanyam
