Hi to everyone here. Thank for the answers to my last question. This is my scenario: Accordin to documentation for a Unitronics, models Vision 130 and 280, can comunicate trought Modbus TCP. I think a can use MVI56-MNET card, to comunicate a CLogix with them. The question is, can i use this card to comunicate with processor as if it was a 1756-ENBT? Thanks bquinn and Ken Roach I am trying to design a new system with redundancy. I have been reading about CLogix redundancy, but i was trying a diferent options. Because i do not wish to be out of project for the price with my client. The scenario is: There is a 32 galvanized wire coiler machines; that is "the heart" of production line. My client wants that for no other reason (3phase energy fault) the lines do no stop, unless the process needed. The number of inputs is relative less (5 inputs aprox.) so i think the use of Point I/O in CNet network is a good options; for the machine location on line. And the reason for ethernet, is the needs to connect the Logix to ethernet to an SCADA. That is the reason for the relative low cost between CLogix and CompactLogix. Thaks in advance. Can it be done in same manner like a ControlLogix System? 2) Is it possible to connect a CompactLogix L32C in a ethernet network; directly with some card in same rack? How? Hi to everyone here The problem is this: My client formatted his A-B Industrial PC, that was connected to a Logix5000, trought ControlNet. Then installed Win 2k. I tried first, installing RSLinx, but whe i tries to Configure a RSLinx Driver "1784-KTC(X) for Controlnet devices" it did not start. I think i need a driver to this card...o am i wrong? My client is asking to me, if it is possible to get an e-mail message, in his inbox mail, from a plc (Clogix, Compactlogix, Siemen S7-300); when any fault happen on production lines. Can you tell any advice about how to get it? Other question: The same client ask me, if it is posible to send an SMS message to his mobile phone, again, when any fault happen. Is it possible? Hi, i understand in this way: I use to search wath alarm condition has been triggered. I have about 300 alarms conditions, in the source i create an array (same size of alarm number, in my case is almosto all 0's). The reference array contain my system alarms (Always 0, and 1 when triggered). I use the search mode "One mismatch a time"; then i put to work cyclical. When one alarm is triggered, the position of Result Control, shows in what bit was found the diference o mismatch. I use this number to display a alarm message on a PView. Then i unlatch the .FD bit, to continue searching any mismatch between the source and reference. I hope it help you. Isaias Frias Rguez

Thanks for the answer That is the reason: I have this project: My client installed 200 power reader devices (Circutor). So I decided to connect them in a controlnet network, using an HMS gateway, modubus rtu to controlnet. Of course no more than 15 circutor devices per modbus network (because machinne distributions). I was reading the query i need to send to circutor device and what is the answer it gives to me, in the example of circutor's user manual, i see that in the query it send a crc hex code, and the circutor return a crc value.
