  9. CompactLogix L35E

Hi Folks, Here are the steps I'm using trying to communicate via Ethernet; As I explained before, this is an old CompactLogix 1769-35-L35E that was removed from a working machine. I'm able to communicate using the serial port but I have not success using ETH1-Ethernet. On the Controller, Tree I click on the Controller Ethernet card then properties and type in the IP I want to use, 192.168.1.10, my Computer IP is 192.168.1.6. Then I opened RSLinx , on the Host window I type again 192.168.1.10 but RSLinx is not recognizing this IP. Then I tried to Ping 192.168.1.10 but the destination Host is unreachable. Please look at the sequent below. Thanks in advance for all your help. Anthony

  11. CompactLogix L35E

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your help. I'm still having problems communicating with the controller via Ethernet. This is what I did; I opened RSLinx, configured DF1 driver and established communication via RS-232. From the Controller tree, I changed the IP address from 10.10.50.131 to 192.168.1.10, my computer address is 192.168.1.6. I deleted the DF1 driver and configured Ethernet devices driver, then I added the controller IP on the Host name but the RSLinx is giving me Unrecognized Device. I also used BOOTP-DHCP and ping the Controller IP with the same result. is there something I've been missing? I appreciate your help on this topic. Regards, Anthony

  15. CompactLogix

Hi Daniel, Thank you for the quick response. I was able to communicate using serial port USB-SR232 cable but I would like to communicate via Ethernet. The processor is blank, no original machine program and I do not know the subnet range on the processor.  Best regards, Anthony
