  1. Profibus DP to Yaskawa VSD

Hi I've stupidly offered to assist a colleauge (who has gone on Holiday!!!) with setting up basic communication with a Yaskawa VSD so that our client can see if they have limited local control of the VSD even though the VSD has been set to operate in Profibus mode. I'm using a CP315 2DP cpu, I have the relevant gsd files, have all the cables etc, but am clueless to setup the comms, has anyone here ever connected a Siemsns Profibus CPU to a Yaskawa VSD ? If so an you assist me ! Regards Joanthan

  3. S7-300 Real Time Clock

Obviously I'm aware there are major diffrenecs between the S7-200 and S7-300 range of PLC, Using the real time clock in the 200 range is easy, however I'm totally confused in the 300 range. Basically all I want to do is move some data from one group of words to another every moring at 6-00am, I can't figure out how to do this in the S7-314 PLC, anyone out there who can help? Regards Jonathan
  4. Cimplicity

Hi Guys I've recently completed a project using Cimplicity, now the client would like us to log the trends, is there a way to do it in Cimplicity, without having to add on Access ? Thanks Regards JLevin
  5. Profibus Dp And Cj1m

The Omron structure of reading the floating point from the 3rd part profidus device is by moving the msb into the least significant bit. We need to swop the bytes over within the word and then to swop the two words over for your floating point double word. So as to be able to read the same value as that on the profibus slave unit. What is the best way to achieve this. Perhaps using MOVD? Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi I doubt very much, I would suggest getting a Siemsn PLC to work with the Win CC , the engineering would be to great the other way. Jonathan
