  1. Thank you for the great comment!! Hope I can solve the issue.
  2. Thanks kaiser_will for your continuing advice. I used the Ultraware to commission the Ultra3000. With the Ultraware, I gave velocity command to rotate the motor MPL-A4540F-S. But the motor does not rotate with various tuning gains in the Tuning tab of the Ultraware. According to manual you referred, I may need RSLogix5000 which should be separately purchased. I am curious if 2098-DSD-150 and 2098-DSD-30 have different control gains and require different settings to rotate the same MPL motor.  BTW, I also try the Autotuning which embedded in the Ultraware but the motor does not rotate the tuning failed.
  3. Thank you for the info. I already have the Ultraware for the Ultra3000 drive. But, I do not have the  RSLogix5000.
  4. The manual uses RSLogix 5000 which I do not have. I chatted with AB customer service and was informed that the software should be purchased separately.  Meanwhile, I tried velocity command reducing the current limit to 24 A (previously 53A). Now the motor does not oscillate, and only rotates few degrees (~ 10 ~ 5 degrees) without any noise once enabled with velocity command.
  5. Thanks kaiser_will, I will follow the procedure you advised and update the result. Have a nice day!
  6. Hello! I have an issue on commissioning my ultra3000 drive purchased through eBay. My drive is 2098-DSD-150 and a motor is MPL-A4540F-S. My problem is that the motor does not rotate after enabled and commanded velocity. The motor is tested with another drive (2098-DSD-30) and it works fine. Therefore, the drive may be an issue. I tried several velocity gains including gain used in 2098-DSD-30 and other several configurations. The motor only oscillates/vibrate without rotation or rotates like stepping motor with vibration and noise. Do you have any comment or advice on this issue?
