  1. Canopen and fx3u

So I found an answer No there is no fault on the amp that will prevent the Can open from going operational Turns out the PLC was faulty replaced it and system fired up. Old PLC would not take a program reload correctly as verify is always wrong

Hello I have a machine using Canopen to control 6 sanyo denki Rs1 servo amps via a fx2n 32 can module Recently machine stopped and only fault we could find is 1. error light flashing on one of the amps canopen plugs 2. all run lights also flashing 3. no Tx/Rx light on can module Replaced amp, module and motor no go but now encoder battery fault because it was disconnected Tried all parts in local distributors machine as a test and worked ok Can download parameters from PLC cant clear encoder fault no faults in BFM 29 BFM25 indicates pre operational mode All drive indication no fault only Can Open not active manufacturer insists i need to clear encoder fault before Can open will function correctly Question 1 - Would the A2(battery fault) prevent the communications layer from going operational  Question 2 - is there anything that would physically cause the bus to fail to go operational i.e. if I skipped a drive on distributors machine I would get a similar fault but with extra error light on skipped drive. Question 3 - what is best place or way to lookup faults in system
