After all the effor done to configurate a serial port on my lap top (buying usb-serial converter, installing it, configuring it) I notice that tiny port. Hi! it's me again. It seems that it wasn't enough. I downloaded the program and looks handy. I had no problems to understand it. Now my question is: What memory area I should read the data from?. I suppose that some one had to put the data available in some memory address. I can't assure if some one did that. If it is the case How can I instruct the PLC to put the data I want in an specific memory address? thanks in advance ...

Hi! I'm an experienced programmer new in the PLC's world. I has been asigned to extract data from an OMRON CQM1H & CS1 Units and I don't know where to start. I got two manuals, one is about installing an operating the units and the other is about programming. I don't want to program the PLC's unless I have to. My task is to get data from the pls's in a timely basis to monitor process performance. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks... quijore_mx
