  1. E3+ Output assignment

Or so I thought... I had a phone call from our electrician on site doing the programming. All good up to the point where he needs to program the output of the BAND gate (FB 1) to operate output A, as the output of the BAND gate is non-assignable. We ran out of time on the phone as they needed to start the plant but further research suggests to me that the output of the BAND gate function block reports to a data table object. From the DNCT manual I should be able to have program a discrete output point that will allow FB 1 to operate output A. The manual does not say how to do this. More of an update than a question, but if anyone has an answer it would be greatly appreciated. I have attached a programming guide that I have written for our on-site electrician, the strikethrough and yellow highlighter were added after my discussions with our site electrician. We can access the programmed DOP page so the E3+ is DOP enabled.   Robbo GROUNDFAULT.docx GROUNDFAULT.pdf
  2. E3+ Output assignment

All sorted thanks. Used the 193-DNCT to add a BAND gate with ground fault trip flag as one input and feedback from the line contactor as the other input (so the shunt trip would only operate when the drive was running) and the output of the BAND gate operates OUTPUT B.   Thanks again.   Robbo
  3. E3+ Output assignment

Thanks Ken   My job today is to give them a ring to get to the bottom of it.   Thanks for your help.   Robbo
  4. E3+ Output assignment

Thanks Ken I need the ground fault to operate separately to the other protection so I can use the phase failure feature of the E3+. From the 193-DNCT manual The Configuration Terminal allows the operator to monitor, edit or delete DeviceLogix™ programs for devices that support DeviceLogix™. DeviceLogix™ can also be enabled or disabled for a device. The DeviceLogix™ functions can be accessed through the DeviceLogix™ Choices Menu, which is accessed by pressing Enter from the Advanced Functions Menu while the DevLogix menu item is selected. I'm hoping someone can help me out as it seems pretty easy to do, if you know how, which is the trick :)   Thanks, Robbo
  5. E3+ Output assignment

Hey, is anyone able to help with this? Please let me know if I need to provide more information.   Thanks, Anthony
  6. Hi   I've been asked to program an E3+ so that when it trips because of a ground fault condition, that output B will close to operate a shunt trip. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction with this, I have enabled ground fault trip in the trip select parameter but cannot find the information required to have it operate output B. I am using the 193-DNCT configuration terminal to program the E3+   Any advice would be appreciated and thanks in advance, Anthony
