  1. hello PV550,

    You can't view the tag screen only or the whole project you can't open? Because in wincc flexible, base on my experience. we can't open the project if we use prosave to back up the program, we can only download them back to the same model of HMI. if the previous programmer is kind enough to enable the back up transfer during the last time he downloaded the program, then that is the only way i know to do the "back up transfer" and edit the program.

    If you have this type of HMI; SIMATIC HMI KTP1000 BASIC COLOR PN (6AV6647-0AF11-3AX0). You can configure it from  WINCC FLEXIBLE 2008 SP2. Definitely you can find this software for free in the net  if you are a resourceful enough. 

     

     

  4. Hello Everyone, 

    Our machine with PLC CPU 1214c, was program last year using TIA V13 professional. Now i need to add some Expansion module for additional sequence, but i only have here a TIA V13 basic. When i tried to search the hardware; yes it can be searched, but it will not upload the existing hardware (CPU+ other modules).  My question is, if the s7-1200 PLc was programmed by TIA v13 professional , does it can only  be edit  by TIA v13 professional? is there any chance that  the basic version can edit the programmed.

    We just received a small machine from china, and definitely we done a lot of modification to add  safety and other sequence, to adapt this machine to the existing line. I'm familiar with siemens and omron, and this is my first time for mitsubishi PLC. FX3sA-20MR, can somebody pls. help me what software do i need to download and programming cable to communicate with the PLC. Thank you in advance...

    It depends on how many output you will use. i don't have the same module exactly what you have, but usually 1 L+ and 1 M- good for 8 bits DI/DO. To avoid any confusion just wire all +L to  and -M, you may use or you may not use all inputs and outputs, it will not create any problem. You need to supply all DI/DO in order it to function...

     


  7. Good day to you sir. I assuming you are using wincc flex. and you want to get the existing program, either by" back transfer"  or " back up"  only. The back transfer is only accessible if the programmer is kind enough to enable the backtranfer option during he  downloaded the program, if not then there is no way for us to choose this option, because we can't find the pdz file extension. However we can backup the HMI program, but only backup, in this backup option we cannot edit the HMI program, and once we will download it,  also we need the same HMI model.

    to communicate or access the HMI we  need to press the "TRANSFER" button. assuming you set the IP address in the HMI via ethernet not S7ethernet. then also set our wincc flex

    communication setting to the same IP address in the HMI and it should work smoothly...

  8. I had encountered the same problem like this before. You can still purchase TD200, it is still available for now, only it's 5X the original price. Or you can use other HMI as long as it is compatible with the s7-200, but you have to know the tag addresses and you need the HMI software. I have winCC flexible 2008, so in my case i replaced it with tp177b 4" touch screen, add some additional feature and it was more good than the original td200, my client really appreciated it. You can do the same thing only if you like. It took me 3 days to finished that project including commissioning.

  9. Hello Experts, Good day to you all. I just can’t figure how I will integrate five S7-300 PLC. CPU 315-2dp. (1.Blow moulding-> 2. filler-> 3. labeller-> 4. packer-> 5. Palletizer) I just want to get the speed of its machine, the output rate and the alarm, this is purely monitoring, archiving, no need to control anything here. I planning about SCADA system. I’m thinking if I could do the same way in my previous project, which I’ve done in profibus master/slave for two s7-300. But this time the five PLC’s already set the profibus as master to the danfoss drive, sew drives, ET200s and many more profibus slave. I plan to buy 1 PLC as master and I will set all as slave, but how since all the five existing PLC, its profibus already configured as master. Thank you very much. All your inputs is really appreciated.

  10. Just a month ago, i purchased a LOGO 230RCE with its LOGOSOft V7.X. E in RCE represent for Ethernet i think,so a cheaper communication cable right there. The LOGOSoft software is not that expensive after all, it is 60% less than the price of Step7 basic V13, which i also purchased for s7-1200. The LOGOsoft V7 is around 100 euro, as far as i remember. There are a lot of illegal source of software for siemens in the internet, i can download it if i want, but that's not the point. If your company use that for business, then let them buy. It is not easy to developed a software, the supplier spend millions of $ for the R&D. and by the way the Step 7 basic V13 is around 300 euro.

  11. Hi! good day to you . I'm not an expert in field, i am an apprentice, but i've done several project in the past using s7-300. I created 1 FC for each group or station of the machine, not per component. Example. 5 gallons bottling line. Automatic 5 gallons Washing station and filling station machine. For this machine. I created FC1 for the infeed of the washing station, (it composed of 5 cylinders, 1 motors, 9 sensors including the positioning). another FC2 for the middle stage and outfeed of the washing station. And another FC3 for the filling station, FC4 for the filling valves. FC5 for the capper section. FC6 for the conveyors. FC7 for the drives (Danfoss FC300 drives); FC7 has been call several times, depending how many danfoss drives in the system, and I assigned 1DB for each danfoss drive. and so on.

  14. Does all address and data blocks in FC13 other than DB113.DBX4.1 were not called? if not then check the fc13, what memory address or input address connected to DB113.DBX4.1. You can use variable table for monitoring much easier. in OB1 call FC13--> this should work

TIA portal V13 can support all s7-1200, s7-1500, s7-300 and s7-400. s7-1200 for small machine application as a replacement of s7-200. s7-1500 is so powerful, really good for complex application , i don't try this yet, it's so expensive, that's why i only use s7-300 for medium complex task application and s7-400 for really complex task application.

Hi, If your using pc adapter usb programming cable just like what i have here (6es7972-0cb20-0xa0), then this is what i did. set pg/pc interface to PC Adapter (PPI) -> properties-> check your address the same as in your plc address, maybe 1,2,3 or etc. then check also your baud rate it maybe 9.6kbs, 19.2kbs,187.5kbps and highest station address is 31. Last time i'de uploaded a program from s7-200, cpu 226. i only played the address at the station parameter and the baud rate, for about 5 minutes try and error i was able to connect. ----Jairus---
