Just as a matter of interest, I currently use Melsec GPP/WIN-E software but I am thinking upgrading to GX Developer. Is it worth it , what are the differences / benefits etc. Thanks, Nick

I've attached a drawing I made. I don't know why it works as I have very little undersatnding of these things, but if anyone needs any cable drawing s I got loads from biejers in PDF format. All told I think I must have over 20 different cable schematics for connecting different kit to mitsubishi PLC's. I hope the drawing helps. Cheers, Nick

All Sorted Tried all manner of diagrams but the only one that worked came from an old post and goes as follows: - Mitsubishi FX0 Pinout Diagram: - PLC / PC db-9 1____3 2____5 3____5 4____2 6____1,4,6 7____5 -short connect PC pins 7 and 8 -connect connectors "grounds?" together Don't know if its some thing to do with the software or laptop i'm using but this is the ONLY one that worked. Thanks Panic Mode, I've found an alternative cable which i'm going to try tonight (GMT). If that don't work i'll try Sergey's cable. Still wouldn't mind connecting to my FX1 though (25PIN D) what is the part number for I.C. for the SC-09 cable just in case I have to install the circuitry? Thanks, Nick

Hello all, great site! I wonder if anyone could help, i'm using Win GPP (SW3D5C-GPPW-E(V) software, & trying to connect via my laptop serial port to a Mistubishi FX1 PLC. I think I need a SC09 cable (which I used to have but gave away!). I'm trying to make one from bits and bobs laying around the workshop & a downloaded drawing from your website. What I need to know is do I have to install the gates, resitors & diodes or can I get away with single pin connections? e.g. pin 2 (9 Pin D) to pin 3 or 16 (25 Pin D). Also I have an old FX0 Plc that came with a FX-20P-CAB cable, can anyone tell me what cable this is as it's wired differently to the Melsec FX0 cable on the SC09 schematic I downloaded. Cheers, Nick
