Hi, I have network with Omron PLC + DRM21 + 4 Node Node Card (Remote I/O). My Node Card frequently circuit burned after I replaced the DRM21 with same program. Will DRM21 cause the burn of Node Card?

My machine was running for 2 years with PJ1M-CPU11 + DRM-21, now it can't run in auto mode and shown error "F1" with default node address 63 (Master). DRM-21 is link to 4 slaves at machine. Measured cable 60 ohm (with termination on at last slave), and 121 ohm (with termination off at last slave). When I tried to replace the DRM-21, the new DRM-21 is different version and shown error d6-02. Appreciated if you could advise further what should I check or rectify further. Thank you in advance. Thank you for the information. I don't have Panelview to try at the moment. From Panelview's Manual, it stated that the Drive is either Databook TMB240 / TMB250 or ATA compatible drive which can read the *.PVA file in CF Card. Do you know how could I do the same in Window XP Service Pack 3?

I still fail to connect. Is there anyone whose have experienced in PSD could help here?

Thank you Mickey. I make the cable according to your pinouts. If cable is right, then it may be wrong setting in RSlinx or com port or program file.

Hi, Question 1: I tried to use a Serial Cable RS232 (9 pins both sides female) to connect my PC (through a USB-Serial Converter because my PC without Serial Port), but can't detect the Panelview. RSlinx Driver is "RS232 DF1". Baud Rate = 19200 Parity = None Error Detect = CRC Stop Bits = 1 Protocol = Full Duplex Com port = 2 I have Panel Builder 32 software installed in my PC. Question 2: I could use a CF Card plus PCMCIA adapter to transfer file from Panelview to CF Card and restore to panelview again (1st time in use will need to format the card at Panelview). When I connect the CF Card to my PC through a USB-CF Card Reader, my PC shown message "CF Card need to be formatted". I am using Window XP Service Pack 3. How can I read the file (*.PVA) in my PC without format the CF card? Appreciated your kindly help. Best Regards, HSC

Hi, I have 1747-PSD (Series A) and would like to connect to PC for uploading / downloading program file, also to SLC 5/03. I have 1747-UIC cable. I have USB to Serial Converter. I also make 1747-CP3 cable base on pinout (1-1, 2-3, 4-6, 5-5, 7-8, link 1 and 6 for both connectors). My PC have USB port but don't have Serial Port. My PC installed with RSLogix 500 (Version 7.1) and RSLinx 2.57. Connection: 1) PC (USB-Serial Converter) to Cable 1747-CP3 to 1747-PSD, but can't detect the device. 2) SLC 5/03 (RS232 port to Cable 1747-CP3 to 1747-PSD, but can't detect the device. Is there wrong cable / connection / configuration in RSLinx / configuration in Program file? Appreciated your kindly help. Best Regards, HSC
