  1. PLC register snapshot

If the programming port is open you can hook up the PLC to your programming environment and track the inner workings. This will allow for at least some chance to track the program (I don't know the speed, complexity etc so I have no idea how viable this is). Most HMI's also give the possibility to enter monitor mode.
  2. FNC 88 PID

I'm trying to implement a PID loop in my plc (FX3U). I know the basic working of a PID controller, but the manual(FX3U programming manual, JY997D16601) is not very clear on what the effect of different settings are. Are there better documents explaining PID loops in PLC's?
  3. I skimmed through the FX1N manual for you, so don't take this as a fact, just as a advice. The manual doesn't speak about REAL, it does talk about FLOAT. This should be good enough. The manual is "FX1N, FX1S, FX2N, FX2NC programming manual" - JY992D88101, chapter 4.15 Kind regards, Maikel
  4. Mitsubishi PLC H.W & S.W selection guidance required.

One example hardware configuration is: - FX2N-8EX-ES/UL, for the digital inputs and outputs - FX2N-2AD, for 2 analog inputs You can choose any of the software programs. GX IEC has more programming posibilities than GX as far as I know. I hope this example helps. Kind regards, Maikel
  5. FX1N programming software

Hello Fluke, I am new here, so I can't say this for sure, but I would suggest that you make a new topic for your own question. If the PLC is password protected and you have no way of finding the password, than your only option is to wipe the PLC. This will erase the program and thus make it impossible to edit the current program. Best regards, Maikel
  6. FX1N - New to programming

Jeremiah, You already have 4 M bits where the racetime is saved in. You can evaluate these values to check which lane was fastest. I hope this helps. Maikel
  7. FX3U + HMI to printer

I am quite new to PLC's and completely new to unusual extensions. My goal is to create a PLC setup where you control the PLC through a HMI, no real demands on that part, and connect that to a printer. I am using a Mitsubishi FX3U and momentarily a E-1000 series HMI which I program in GX IEC developer and E-designer. This systems works and records data. Now I want to print this collected data to physical paper, but I cannot find any examples. Any help or tips would be appreciated.
