Hi Gambit Yes i am using excel to get Kw readings via DDe the problem i am having is with a few array tags which has the info within it. Am i right in thinking that an array tag has the ability to store several types of info ie temp,kw,kva voltage and current. The issue is i have the address of the Tag ZR005240[40] and want to get the info from part 16 and 38 of the array which is kva and kw`s i have tried creating a new tag within MX4 scada called ups_3_kva with an address of ZR005240/36 ZR005240.36 ZR005240{36} but still no joy. if i am in the wrong forum i am very sorry Cheers Dan

Hi All i am having a little trouble getting a array tag info out using DDe in excel its from a mitsubishi Q series plc. i am using MX4 software. i can get info from all the other Variable tags, just not the array tags. its a [40] Tag Array with an address of ZR005420[40] This is what I have in my Variable Tag file with in Variable Tag Name: S1_ups1_array Data Type: REAL I/O Device Name: AM1 Address: ZR005420[40] I have tried these tags below changing the address to [1] and so on Variable Tag Name: S1_ups1_aa Data Type: REAL I/O Device Name: AM1 Address: ZR005420[1] also changed name and address Variable Tag Name: S1_ups1_ab Data Type: REAL I/O Device Name: AM1 Address: ZR005420[2] Also tried placing a . before the second plart Variable Tag Name: S1_ups1_ab Data Type: REAL I/O Device Name: AM1 Address: ZR005420.2 In EXCEL i am entering Citect|variable!<name of tag>which is perfect for almost all of the tag name but not ARRAY tags Any pointer would be very very helpful.
