  2. Software update questions

I do have the update. 8.90U. Just making sure there are no bugs to look after. I recieved this update this week. I thought it was he GX Works. I guess not. I'm going to have to ask about that instead. I wonder if it's upgradeable or a purchace is required.
  3. Software update questions

Hello all. Need answers to a few questions on the updates to Gx Developer. We run the 8.25 version. I know there's a software thread but it's really long. Anyhow, we recently got the FX3G for one of our projects. Usually we run the FX3U, but I really want to stay away from using AC, when not necessary, as a source for the PLC or other components. Our software version, 8.25B, doesn't program the 3G but programs the high model 3U. Weird. So I got the up date to 8.89(Works?). Is there a way to get all the updates on each version update till the 8.89. Is there any concerns that I should be aware of before I update my lab top with this version? I know you can't open newer programs with older software, but since of software would be newer I don't think that would matter. Is GX Developer going away to GT Works? We only use FX models but are thinking of using the Q series because of CC Link programming. We also use their HMI software. Sorry if these have been answered already before.
  4. The symbol icon lets you pick the type of instruction, but you must address it in the block provided next to it. In your picture you have a open contact. Now you must address it "X2" for example. Input two. You can bring this window up by the use of a keyboard to the correct instruction or click on an instruction you want to change. Many ways of doing it.
  5. Versa Pro problem

I think the file in question was the MAIN_blk file. I got it to work except I lost my comments. I tried to open the file in a new folder and got the file from the folder I was trying to boot up. I got out of everything and booted up the software again and this time it came up. Kind of bizzare. Not sure what happened to rectify it. Do you think the file I needed got copied from the one file to the corrupt file?
  6. Versa Pro problem

Hello all. I'm having trouble reading the main ladder. Versa Pro gives me a "unexpected file format" error. I was able to read it yesterday. I made some changes and saved. Now it won't display the main block. The program seems to work. I tried downloading from the plc and I still get the error. Any ideas. Can I change the format? Not really a GE person.
  7. CC-Link help needed

I had trouble opening the files inside the .rar file.
  8. CC-Link help needed

I have set up the robots already. They were set up as you have written. I guess I'm having trouble with the M's and D's. What to assign each robot?? From the master to the 1st station Y100 From the first station to master X100 From the master to the 2nd station Y200 From the 2nd station to the master X200 From the master to the 3rd station Y300 From the 3rd station to the master X300 Words are D's. Does this sound correct or am I way off?
  9. CC-Link help needed

I actually tried and followed a program that I found on the these forums. It was from another thread. It actually went through all the parameters needed. The only thing I changed was the addresses for the robots and it's code on the controller being a remote device. I also tried a modified program to address just one controller to see if that worked. I got that from one of my distributers from Mitsu. I didn't get any errors on both. Right now I have the one from these forums. It actually is quite similar to the manuals, as I have gone over it and compared it to the examples in the manual. I guess it worked but I haven't gone further in the program as far as telling things what to do, wether it is a cylinder or a robot. I'm still trying to figure out the IO's of the system. I'm using Developer 8.25FX. I wish I had a Q series from what I have been reading. Seems easier from the set up end. P.S. changed my account name.
