    Hi Jesper, Thanks for your reply. As It turns out it was down to my lack of experience, my laptop is running on Windows 7 which I now know won't work with S7. I have a pc with xp on it so I'll give it a try on that.

    I'm new to PLC's and have recently downloaded a copy of S7 Lite from the Siemens website. I can't seem to access any of the sample projects, libraries, hardware and when I open from my desktop it looks for a disk. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please.
