I have FT View Studio. I am trying to setup the communcations as the video on the Rockwell website instructs. When I click the communications setup folder as descibed in the video, I do not see the controller tree as displayed in the video on the right. I am in the design tab and not the runtime tab. I can see the controller tree listed in RS Who and in Rs Logis 5000. What am I missing? Thank you, Herb

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to configure tags in RSView 32 for the Comapct logix L35e Controller. I have tried to read and find the answer, trust me. The PDF files that Rockwell makes availabe are not helpful to me. When I am setting up tag names in RSView 32, do I use the alias or tag names? If I use a bit address in RSLogix 5000, can I use ithe same bit address in RSView 32 for the tag name? If anyone could help me, I would be so happy. Herb

I am taking an online class for RSView 32. The class is good but in my opinion leaves some things vague. In RSView 32 if I want associate a start button with an input for a SLC 5/03 processor, how can I do this when a 5/03 is not tag based. For instance if I have a start button in RSView 32 with a tag name Start_Motor, how can I associate this name with an address I:1/1 in the 5/03? Thanks Herb

Hello, hopefully someone can help me. I purchased RS View 32 and loaded it. The sample files are a part of the program. When I try to access the sample files I get an error message "Runtime has requested the application terminate in an unusual way". I went to the knowledge base site on ABs website and it brought back 268 pages of topics. I do not even know what runtime is. I am new at this program. Thanks in advance for any help. Herb
