  1. I recently installed a new safety system and used a MSR22LM muting light curtain module. The setup consists of a light curtain, two muting eyes, and the unused channels are wired through guard door switches. Everything works as planned EXCEPT the override function. If I leave a pallet in the protected zone and let the relay time out for a muting fault. I am NOT able to press the reset button and override the relay to temporarily move the pallet out of the protected zone. I've read the manual a few times to make sure I had everything wired correctly. Any ideas what would cause this issue? HELP???
  2. How to capture encoder values?

I have it working now. I just used an OSR to capture the value when the pedestal prox goes "high" and then when it goes low I continue to subtract that value from the running encoder value until the prox goes "high" again. If too many counts have gone by before the prox goes "high" again then I know a pedestal is out of position. (Hasn't raised up into position to fill a bottle) Thanks for the info and help guys!
  3. How to capture encoder values?

This application is a rotary filler (wine). The prox is your average 18mm unit. I'm interested in the theory of how I can do this first. The prox senses a metal pedestal as it passes in front of it. What I am trying to do is when I lose the signal (between pedestals) I want to look at the encoder value already present in the logic and "record" it, I then want to record again when the the signal returns (pedestal in front of prox again). My overall goal is to use this method to alert when a pedestal is not in position by comparing the two values. The wider number of values will tell me that a pedestal is not in position.
  4. I'm trying to figure out how I can capture an encoder value using (1) prox switch reading the pedestal on a filler. I want to capture the value when the prox goes 'high' and then capture another value when the prox goes'low'. I want to have two seperate values that I can then use to compute. Any ideas? A/B Contrologix system
  5. Well lowering the baud rate didn't work, but I had success using an older laptop with a physical serial port. Thanks for the help.
  6. Ultraware version 1.64 Drive Firmware 1.35 Model: 2098-DSD-HV050X
  7. I connected to an Ultra 3000 drive using Ultraware and I am able to monitor the drive for a short time only. After a minute or so, I am greeted with a popup message that reads as follows. " Host Control Mode: An improperly formatted message was sent to the drive. Notify Technical support. It then asks me if I want to access this parameter in the future Yes or No? This continues for each parameter being monitored, and then I will lose connection to the drive. This is the first time I have ever dealt with Ultraware and wanted to run this past the forum before I called Tech Support. Thanks.
  8. I am trying to communicate with a PV 300. I am using the PIC driver with XP. All is ok but the conection in RSWHO is off and on, so when I try to do an upload from the PV and the connection drops for a few seconds, the transfer stops and a comm error is given. I can't get the connection to stay solid long enough for the transfer to finish. HELP?????
  9. Well I tried what you recommended. When I started up Linx everything came up fine. but I am still getting the same error whjen trying to transfer to the PV. UGHHHHH. I closed linx before i did anything, but where do I shutdown the linx and harmony server?
  10. Hi, I am able to communicate from my PC to a 300 panelview, meaning I can see in in RSWHO, but when I try to upload or download a project I get this error. "Error (2229)-DTL_E_RSHARMONY_INVOKE_METHOD, could not invoke method on RSHarmony object" A co-worker can transfer to the panel using the same setup and cable I have. I could not find anything at AB support. Help!!!!!!!!
