I have been looking every where for a ABB Protonic T200 programming manual. If any one could point me in the wright direction I would really appriciate it. I am replacing one of these P.L.C's of 20 some years of age and I am seeing some unusual programming techniques. Thanks in advance Rodney

Thanks Crossbow but I already went up that avenue without any success. Rodney

Rodney replied to brianpk's topic in General Topics - The Lounge

YorkLander Pantek is part of Wonderware you should be able to find them that way. With regard to your project I cannot open it due to a version problem. It is probabally not a 95 or 100u program and my Quadriga licence is only for these P.L.C.s Sorry I could not help. Regards Rodney

Easiest to use and best programming software
Rodney replied to brianpk's topic in General Topics - The Lounge
Beckoff is also very good as I/O when using P.L.C's. I have used them instead of Omron and also Siemens I/O. Rodney -
I am presently working on a Q series P.L.C and in the Ladder code there is bit addressing e.g D1001.0. I have found that if D1001 is between 0 and 3 then d1001.0 is on. However I also have D1001.1 and I can not find what values turn D1001.1 on. Any help would be appriciated. Rodney

PLC Brand Name USA Market Share
Rodney replied to Chris Elston's topic in General Topics - The Lounge
I know this topic is for the U.S market share. However it is not the here in the U.K. I would say Siemens with "Simotion Software" is making big gains. It also makes a difference on where the O.E.M is located again Germany is a big influence on major automation prgects. My 2 Pence Rodney -
Hi Duffinator I think the manual you want is the Melsec A/Q Series Programmable Logic Controller Programming Manual I tried to upload it but it is 1466 pages and 28MB. I dont know if it is the same manual in the U.S. but here in the U.K. it is manual Adobe Acrobat 87431 and available on the mitsubishi website. If you have any problems getting it E-mail me direct and I see what I can do Regards Rodney

Renton From my memory press the run/stop switch down for a few seconds. I dont remember whether the led starts to flash before you release or when you release. At that time the P.L.C should load from the EPROM. Good Luck Rodney

Travish I cannot say about S 5 for windows but the following is a guide on how it is done on Siemens S 5. S 5 main menu click on project select set you will see the computer is offline click on the online it should change from offline to online. select enter should take you back to the main menu. Now select Blocks and then transfer. The transfer window will open here you select transfer from PLC and to Program File. You can also give the file a name and the blocks you want to transfer are A (meaning all). Now select transfer and the transfer should start. Thought the above might be a guide. Good Luck Rodney

Have you transfered the block from the P.L.C too your computer.

The E.M.F generated by a J type thermocouple at 0 degrees C is 0 microvolts and at 500 degees C is 27393 microvolts. As Paulengr has said the thermocouple reader is essentially a volt meter and I would say a very good one. Rodney
-
Bob-O What is the reason for your customer wishing you too megger the J type extention cable. This cable should aways be run on its own as not to pick up any interference from any voltage cable. Rodney
-
Bob O Try the website below you are looking at Mv (EMF). http://www.omega.com/techref/thermcolorcodes.html Rodney
-
You should be importing with "Import from Melsec Medoc File format" That should import the Medoc program. Rodney
-
The E-designer promram is for an H.M.I and the other files are for Medoc programming. You can import the Medoc program into G X Developer. Rodney

Good Morning ex ilustre The F1 manuals are available on the Mitsubishi Web-site Rodney

Phil Try www.lektronix.co.uk they both repair and sell repaired and reconditioned P.L.C & related products. I have checked their stocked items this morning asnd they have a number of OP15 in stock. With regard to the software it should be Protool that you require. I do not know if ti is still available but your Siemens distributor should be able to help. The version I have runs on Windows 98. Regards Rodney
