The PPI cable is not for S7 300 series P.L.C it is for S7 200 series P.L.C. The cable for S7 300 series P.L.C is MPI cable. Rodney
-
G X Developer will prompt you when you try to download the programmer that the selected P.L.C and the connected one are not the same. Rodney
-
If you look at most Mitsubishi programming manuals they give example of code in both ladder and instruction list. You don't say for which P.L.C you are looking for. Rodney

The software you require is GX Developer available from your local Mitsubishi supplier. You will also require a SC09 programming cable. The es and ul are the markets the units are specified for. Rodney

password to protect software on gx work or developer?
Rodney replied to kurokage's topic in Mitsubishi
With GX Developer it is online then keyword setup Rodney -
Just one other note to connect to the S7 200 P.L.C you require a PPI Cable unlike the MPI cable for the S7 300 & 400 P.L.C's Rodney

The Micro Win version does not require authorization as does the Simatic Manager. There is no need to uninstall your Simatic Manager prior to installing your Micro Win software. If your colleague is unable to find the Micro Win software then the only option is to purchase a new package. Rodney

El Greco is correct for S7 200 series P.L.C's Micro Win software is the programming software. Simatic S7 (Simatic Manager) is for S7 300 & S7 400 series P.L.c's Rodney

uploading complete backup from Mitsubishi PLC fx series
Rodney replied to ahsan1820's topic in Mitsubishi
The device memory when backed up will contain all values contained in the "D" registers. So in the event that you have a P.L.C failure any D registers that are not written to via the program will be the correct value when you download it to the new P.L.C. if you did not have this data it could take a long time to sort through the program to get the required values in the program. -
I have been using VM's for about the last 8 months version 5.0.1 with out any comms issues that you describe. I use GX developer 8.91 and a USB to serial converter but once the serial device is connected to the VM and the com port that is being used is put into the transfer setup the connection is then fine. My only suggestion if you have no software and cable availabe on site would be to contact your local Mitsubishi distributor and ask them for either their support or some one they could recommend to help you. Because if you loose the program it will be expensive to get up and going. Rodney .

Crossbow When I first saw this I changed a battery and the battery light did not go out. So I contacted MEUK and they told me this procedure I mentioned and also if Iwas using IEC Developer there is another procedure. As I said I have done this a number of times. But I will look at the two bits you mentioned. Rodney

Not sure if it is the same for all Q series P.L.C but I have done a number of Q3DU models and you have to monitor the value in SD0 enter the same value into SD50. Then turn on SM50 and then off again. The Battery light will then go off. Rodney

Even though you may have a genuine reason for asking about password breaking. Discussion of trying to bypass a CPU password is against the terms of service on this website. Please review the user agreement you signed when you created your account. With most PLCs, you should be able to reformat it and download again without a password. But you cannot upload a program without the password. Rodney
