Well said Rodney -
cauchy You can use any M flag that does not have a coil. That way you can force on and off that M flag as you require. Rodney

ian s Glad to held. Iam an old time Mitsi programmer and still have the old fashioned hard copy. Rodney
-
Ian s Yes (F670)k61 is a BCD three digit increment on data register D702 Rodney
-
Ian 1). setting coil (F671) K700 followed by the execution coil (F670)K62 (F671) K700 is the lowest No data register that the line is processing. That is D700 (F672) K62 is an increment execution BCD 6 digits so that would be D700 & D701. D700 D701 + 1 M571 is a carry flag and M 572 is a zero flag. 2). is the same as 1). with the Data registers being D702 D703 Rodney

Hi Jeremy You will not see output Q0.0 turning on because it is only being pulsed for one scan. Each time the line becomes true the contact allows power to flow for one scan only. In your case this is in one second because SM0.5 is a 0.5 second on off timer. When M0.0 turns on you should see C1 count up to 2 in one second and then reset. Rodney

I believe that you should only be able to start a unit from either local or remote. So if someone is looking to work on the unit he would switch the control from remote to local.

Mitsubishi P.L.C.s are not the same as some other P.L.C.s that is to say if you force I/O they are forced on and remain on until they are reset or forced off. Mitsubishi P.L.C.s will only force on for one scan of the P.L.C. if there is nothing in the program to keep the output on. The input will only be on for the single scan because the input is off else why would you force it on in the first place. Rodney

I have used McAfee software for quite some time with out problems but about six months ago I purchaced the latest version because McAfee were telling me the version I was using was out of date. Now if I use Mitsubishi G X Developer my computer will lockup during the startup of the software. So now I have a situation ware my desktop computer is protected by McAfee but my laptop is not. Thats progress! Dont think I can get a viras from a P.L.C. Rodney

FNMdeJong From my experience with F series P.L.C.s for many years I have only ever come across one faulty P.L.C. That does not include the odd faulty output relay. But even today when required I have to use Medoc to troubleshoot a control system. The problem is almost always a peripheral devise such as proximity switches, valves, mechanical problem etc. Rodney

The F series P.L.C has been around for more than 25 years and if it is not broke dont fix it. Rodney

The comments are not stored with in the P.L.C. They are only in the stored as part of the project on a computer. You would have to contact the programmer for a copy of the project and hope they would give you a copy of their project. Rodney

You will have to contact your local Siemens distributor who will happily sell it to you. Rodney

Hi I have recently upgraded my Mcaffee anti virus software and now when ever I try to run my G X developer software the programme starts and you see the screen Mitsubishi Programming and Maintainance. However after that it just hangs there and does not display the programming screen. I contacted Mitsubishi Support and they thought that maybe lowering the level of protection may help but it does not the only waywas to remove the anti virus protection completly. Has anyone had any similar problems and what did you do to correct it. Or can any one recommend a anti virus software that does not affect G X Developer. This is not a problem with any other software that I use E Designer included. Rodney
-
Roger My previous version was version 8 and as said with no problem. I am now on version 10 with the problem. Rodney
-
Roger Thanks for your reply may I ask how resently you installed the anti virus software on your computer. I used a previous version on my computers which was also Mcafee with out problems Rodney
-
When I talked to Mitsubishi support one of there thoughts were that when G X Developer starts it writes to Windows components such as DLL files. This they think is what the anti virus software sees and thinks G X Developer is attacking Windows. I have never seen this problem before either and I have been using Mcaffee software and G X Developer for quite some time. I have used a version 7 & Version 8 and the results are the same. When I remove the anti virus software my G X Developer runs with out problem. Rodney

Dariusch The pulse contact in instruction list is LDP. Rodney

Have you tried monitoring online in write mode. All you do is make changes you wish to make and then convert the changes and its down loaded. I have found GX no different than any of the other software packages in that respect. I am also from the UK. Rodney

Comments are not stored in the memory of the P.L.C. They remain in the project file of the programming device. Rodney

I have recently done a project with an E100 and it did receive its power from the P.L.C via the RS485 port. Rodney
