just a small basement laboratory

if i only have one slc 500 and i use the usb programmer do i need to have rs linx. i remember using linx at school but we had like 10 or them networked together with a panel view

ok i found the program and have it installed however it wont link to my com port for some reason

i hate to bring this up because everytime i mention using one of these plcs i catch a whole bunch of flack but i like them and im too cheap to buy a newer one. i have searched and all the links that i have found for the pcis.exe file which is the computer software for the slc100/150 plc are dead. does anyone have a copy of the file that i can download? or know where there is still a valid link?

ok this is my other account that i have cause i forgot i had the first one go figure. but i did manage to find a video card thats works in the sicomp pc32 that is vga compatible. then i booted it up. "not fun". it booted the bios and then proceeded to boot a texas instruments application and then it stoped on a blank page which i guess ment that it wanted and input from an outside source such as a plc or a typed command. since i had no idea of what the application was i therefore had no idea what commands or inputs it was looking for. i ended up rebuilding this computer. i set aside all the internal parts and proceeded to retrofit a dell server motherboard inside. which, bty the way is a story of its own. i got the computer sort of working as a dell but i need a little bit more time to figure out the server i had a hard time with my other one and never really did figure out how i fixed it. it kinda just worked one day go figure.

i am sticking to my old school for now i can find them cheaper then that on ebay i am looking for an individual who is willing to sell somewhat cheap

i am semi-experienced at programming and i have found a liking to to the old slc-100/150 series and i am looking to buy a keypad module for the slc 100 and an analog input module for the slc 100 if anyone has one please let me know i am looking for these items at a reasonable price and i will pay to have it shipped. contact me at thisonejamie@aol.com thanks

i am looking for anyone with slc 100s or slc 150s that they dont need i am specifically looking for the none standard expansion units i am looking to buy for cheap and have them shiped to me (shipping on me) i am kinda collecting them now cause they are fairly easy to program and i understand how they work my collection currently consists of 2 slc 100 2 slc 100 expansion units 2 slc 150 an slc 100 and held programmer and a usb adapter for computer programming i am also buying a keypad for the slc100 let me know what you have and how much

omg you are a god send i cleared the program and the fault went away in both of my units thank you soo much now i have a total of three working units

correction just tested the new slc100 and slc150 i got them both straight from industry aparently they had a cpu falt error number E06 and i have no clue what it means other then broken lol

I also today just received an slc150

I have two slc100 and two expansion units (can only find one right now but i know i have another one) and i finally learned how to enter sequence programs and i am getting bored with them does anyone have any ideas as to what type of made of situation that i could program them for so i have something to do. i also just got ahold of some ADI programmable sollid state relays that i cant wait to get the computer adapter inn so i can play with them

today i started working with a more up to date plc at votech we have a panel view 1000 available to us but i am sure i will learn how to use it since i have to in order to graduate

hi i have a parralax basic stamp 2 and i am creating an LED matrix like from one of them scrolling signs but mine will only be 5 by 7 LEDs and am asking for any programs from anyone who has done this before so i can get an idea as to how others would tackle the problem when i had a 3 by 3 led matrix set up my programing isnt the greatest so it didnt keep constant on i could notice the flicker would this problem be solved by using a more intense LED to give the illusion that it is still on when it is not?
