  1. Virtual Machine Setup

Purchase additional seats for each VM Image.
  2. ControlLogix Change Detection

I would store the last known hex value. Then compare the new value to the previous value and alarm if needed.
  3. PanelBuilder32 Download

This is no demo version of the software.  It has gone unsupported more than 10 years ago.  Your distributor will need to be contacted and also probably get support from Rockwell's Tech Connect and Knowledgebase.
  4. Manual for KOYO SR-21 required

    Contact AutomationDirect at https://www.automationdirect.com/
  5. AOP installation broke module RSL5000

    Mind telling us how?
  6. Pacdrive C400

Searching www.se.com, found references to the EPAS-4.  Might need to call Schneider, maybe the software is rolled up into another package?
  7. The 700 stores that last three faults seen.  Check those to determine a possible cause.  You say the safety circuit is good, but the drive can't see it.  Check for wiring mistakes.  Maybe a wire has come loose.  Maybe there is no 24VDC due to a blown fuse.  If you have RSLogix5000 you should be able to connect to the drive and find additional information.
  8. Is it giving you an error code? Inhibit is usually the lack of safety circuit.
  9. temperature spread

I would think you would want to compare the new signal against the last known max and min, then at the end compare the max and min for the spread and generate the alarm.
  10. RSLogix 5 - Does Version Matter

Short answer, don't know...Wondering if RSL5 is like RSL5000 where you have multiple versions and it opens the program with the specific version needed.  When you opened in v9 did the help or about say it was v9 and not v7?   When you opened in v9 did it say anything about needing to convert the file?
  11. Q03UDE IP address won't change???

Are there settings for DHCP vs. Fixed?  Is it possible that on reboot, it's going out and finding a DHCP server?
  12. monitoring the ethernet/ip bus

The statuses are available through the use of a GSV in your program.
  13. Can you decrease the scan time in Studio 5000

Opps!  I have no idea about View Designer.  Thought we were talking FTVME.  Maybe in the project tree and right clicking on the display name? And now I re-read the OP's original post and it is View Designer.
  14. Can you decrease the scan time in Studio 5000

You have right clicked on an object.  You need to right click in the background of the display.
  15. Can you decrease the scan time in Studio 5000

Open the HMI screen click anywhere in the display that's on the background, right click and edit the refresh rate of that individual screen.
  16. Automation Direct ViewMarq and Control Logix

I personally have not. Generally, all Automation Direct devices like Modbus TCP as their native comms.  The CLX uses a native EtherNet/IP comms driver, but should be able to communicate with it.  AD's website usually has information regarding the setup for various comms drivers to vendor PLCs. Example, the C-More Touchscreen HMI's has detailed instructions for communicating with various AB PLC's including MLX, CLX and CompactLogix.  Try to find the manuals for the Viewmarq to determine what the communication capabilities are and how to set them up.  Regardless, AD's technical support is among the best in the industry.  You should simply call them.
  17. FTVME Parameter Files

Thanks SLC, that's what I did.
  18. UPDATED! Using FTV Studio ME v11. I'm building FTVME app with global displays with placeholders to be replaced via parameter files to call the correct tags and hopefully text strings to a simple text object. Couple of questions: Can a parameter file pass a "local" tag or is it only "controller scope" tags?  If so, then what is an example of the definition in the parameter file? Answer (supplied by an associate of mine) #1 = Program:MainProgram.IOLIO_07_AOI.I.0 and in the graphic object use the following {::[PLC]#1} where [PLC] is your device shortcut name.  I got to this syntax through a clever suggestion.  When tagging the graphic object connection, selected tag, went to either the offline or online folder and drilled down to the local tag. Can a parameter file pass a literal string (not a string tag) to an text object with a placeholder?  If so, what is the secret sauce on how to configure in the parameter file?  I'm aware I could create string tags and populate them with the literal string, but I'm talking about thousands of string tags would be required.  Still looking for help on this.
  19. Compact Logix L33ER

L33ER has only one IP.  The two ports act as a "hub".  There are later models that have two ports and are individually addressable.
  20. Better off going to the plant floor and plugging into the switch that the Danfoss drives are plugged into.
  21. No CST Master detected

Depends on the type of controller and communications type of the servo. Usually, the CST is configured in the properties of the controller.
  22. Devicenet problems

Wiring issues or noise.  Make sure your are using actual shielded DeviceNet cabling.
  23. Tag Based Alarms No Messages

PLC at v32 and an old PV at v5.  I would be concerned with compatibility.  You should check, maybe it's a simple upgrade of the PV firmware.
  24. 5VDC Circuit Breaker

Thanks @panic mode.  Will investigate.   Update! Found a Phoenix Contact Circuit Breaker with a thermomagnetic that handles 0-50VDC.  The datasheet stated the operating voltage as 50VDC.  Not even as a range.  But upon testing it proved to work for 5VDC.
  25. 5VDC Circuit Breaker

I'm in need of ideas.  I have customer that is using Allen-Bradley 1769-IG16 - 16 Channel TTL Input Modules and are insisting that no fuses be used.  Rather, they want a circuit breaker to protect the card and the 1606-XLP25A 5VDC Power Supply. My google searches found Phoenix Contact having an electronic circuit breakers to protection of 12VDC devices, but not down to 5VDC. Anyone know of a vendor or even a part number of a circuit breaker for 5VDC circuits? Possibly, the only solution is fusing.
