  1. VCTF cable for Compobus/S and CompoNet

I've used a lot of different cables for Compobus/S and never had any problem. The longest distance is around 150 meters in high-speed mode with a 2x0,5 unshielded round PVC-cable. But I've also used 3x0,5 shielded cable on the same type of machine without any problems. Besides the too long distance (Omron states max. 100 meters in high-speed mode) the Compobus-cable is also tied to a 3x400Volts 50Hz-powercable over al least 100 meters.... Never had a single glitch in communications.....
  2. High speed counter with Compobus?

Hi Steven, I've used Compobus S in High Speed-mode for counting the revolutions of a 2950 rpm motor using a inductive proximity-switch. I found out that the Compobus was faster than the cycle-time of my CJ-cpu.... I've also used a CPM2A as a slave on the Compobus, only disadvantage is the small amount of bits (8 input and 8 output) the slave can handle. If your CJ1-plc can count the pulses using a standard digital input you can do the same with Compobus-S.
