  1. I figured out my issue. The VCP software when installed in "-MOD" mode, will allow you to communicate to Modicon PLC's, however requires the PanelView to have the MODBUS option installed on it. This "option file" costs a couple hundred dollars and does nothing but enable a function the PanelMate already had onboard. Sounds kind of shady, eh?
  2. I am trying to replace an Eaton PanelMate Plus 4000 with a Cutler-Hammer PanelMate 4000 Power Series. The units look physically identical and I have been able to eliminate all errors except one. I am running the PanelMate Transfer software Version 2.20.6.20b0 I found on the following Eaton website: http://cutlerhammer.com/NASApp/cs/ContentS...evel1=PanelMate I updated my firmware to V4.20d7 (PanelMate Power Series) and I'm using the Comm Driver "Modicon RTU V4.27 (PanelMate Power Series)". The Modicon RTU driver is required to communicate with my Modicon 984 PLC. I load my FILE.PC4 Configuration and try to download it to the PanelMate and I receive the following error: Modicon MODBUS option is not installed on operator station. If I load my VCP Config Editor (v2.12) , I can see the program calls for the MODBUS option, however I cannot eliminate it. I went as far as trying to generate a brand new configuration with no drivers loaded and no comm links, and the VCP software still shows the MODBUS option. Since I cannot eliminate this setting, how can I ever convert the file? The easiest solution would be to install the MODBUS option to the new screen, but I cannot find this option to download anywhere. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance. ***** UPDATE***** I have found out how to get rid of the MODBUS option in the VCP software. I simply reinstalled it with the option -IDT instead of -MOD. This installs the program as EatonIDT for the creator instead of Modicon. This created a new problem, I no longer have the ability to use the Modicon RTU comm driver to talk to my Modicon 984 PLC. Any Help Is Appreciated. ******************
