Does any body out there have a copy of Vijeo Opti Designer. I've read that it is issued free with a Terminal. As I have to support a client that bought machines from China, I'm looking for that software. The terminal on his machine is a XBT OT4320. Local aggents wants to sell me Vijeo Designer but nowhere in the manual can I see that it supports the OT terminal. If some one can confirm or correct me it will be helpfull. Please help And tell your Clients. You buy from China, they going to pay for support

Hello All I need to help with CX-Protocol. I uploaded a Protocol file from a CJ1 which controls a string of 3G3MV inverter. Because we can't get the MV we ned to give the client a solution of another drive. V1000 preferably. But I first want to under stand the Protocol send to the drive from CX Protocol The string below is a complete string that is in the Send message DATA area. Is there any body that can tell me what each bit means please <a>+DLE+[0002]+[0001]+STX+(R(2),2)+<c> 3G3MV.zip

Problem with Quantum 424
Derickvdw replied to zeussix's topic in Modicon / Telemecanique / Schneider Electric
If you still have trouble, initialize logic. -
The rs485 port on the inverter might not work with modbus protocol. Try using ASCII codes for that. Or id you realy want to use modbus for comms, use an option card. Fr-A5nm ( or FR-a7nm for that series) then use modbus plus. Attached find the manual for the registers. Work through carefully. It does work.

Thanx for that manual. It's the same one that I have. I have been reading throught it and have an idea of the register needed to read and write to the inverter. Another question. Is it possible to link more then one inverter on a network. And how can I offset the register that is needed for the inverter. This inverter must be added on to an existing network that uses those registers already. More questions. I would also like to have a local/remote funtion on the inverter. Did have a look at the parameters but it's so much that I'm not sure. Any information will help

I wonder if there is anybody out there that has ever installed a FR-A5NM option card in an inverter via modbus plus and controller it from a modicon PLC, that I can ask if I have no luck with the one I'm about to install as a test in our plant. I would a manual about it, attach. If some one know more about it please

Hallo everybody Small silly question. How does omron and CX-programmer asign their I/O's. I have to start work with that soon and need to get up to speed fast. I'm working with Modicon now and in there, input addresses starts wit a 1 (one)- thus 10001 for input one. And 0 (zero) for outputs- thus 00001 for output one. Seems like with Omron I either have to tell it what I want the addresses to be, or it the opposite of Modicon Please help me or steer me in the right direction. Will probibly ask much more later as I work more with it. Thanx

The proble was that we took away one of the RIO head, giving that rack it's own CPU. The error was active beacause I didnt reconfigure the system in the traffic cop. All That was needed was to take it out from traffic cop, and the error was gone

Any one that can answer this question please. Have a 140CRP93100 which is work fine but display 'error A' on the front. Any ideas why?

Only one problem with the diagram in the pdf file. The chip is hard to find. I've look to make that cable from that diagram but could find the chip or similar replacement. If some found some thing similar, please let us know.

MMC stand also for machine & motion controller. I would like to know if I can export a drawing from Autocad into a machine so that machine can use the drawing to control axis. Sort of like a CNC but controlled by PLC or MMC

I'm wondering if any body knows of software that is used to convert a CAD file into some sort of file that can be used in PLC or MMC controllers.
