Hi I have done a similar job using DeviceNet, 6 AB Powerflex drives and 6 Siemens VSD. It works fine. I am not too sure for modbus, but it will work, as far as, you have ur network well balanced with the number of nodes. Y don't u go for DeviceNet? I think it is more simple to program and monitor via RsNetworx. Thanks DK Domah

Hi everybody I have a DeviceNet and EtherNet network with CompactLogix PLCs. I have recently bought an EtherNet camera. It works well...and I just have to type the IP address, assigned to the camera, in my Internet Explorer address bar. I want to import the realtime image to my SCADA screen. The problem is that I do not have ActiveX control in my RSView Studio. Can anybody help me out if it is possible for me to import the realtime image of my EtherNet camera to my SCADA scree.

Hi Everybody Last time i was asking for RsEmulator and Softlogix, thanks to all those you replied to me..... I have five mills to control using CompactLogix and Siemens VSD via DeviceNet. So far it is working but i am not satisfied with the PIDs used. There are too many overshoots and the Rise-Time is not good. I have heard that there exists RSTune which can give me good values for my Ki Kd and Kp. Please can anybody tell me if RsTune can be downloaded from anywhere and if there exists its crack. Hi everybody, I have to control 6 Siemens H-Compact 690V Variable Speed Drive using AB PLC. In the Automatic Mode, I just have a step input and the drives will start automatically and the speed will be controlled by parameters directly inputed to the drives. In the Manual Mode, I have to use a switch (just like an accelerator) to provide ramp input to either accelerate or decelerate the drive. The data will be send to the drives via DeviceNet. Please can anybody help me how to write the Ladder program for a ramp input and its corresponding output? Thank you in advance DKD

Yes we do have a Company which represents Rockwell, but the problem is that as soon as they know that University students need info or software then they do not coorperate. In Mru, the license for RL5K is moreover rs150K mru money. I thnk some universities have sterted offering courses in Industrial Automation, ok i will try to find out on Google. Thanks again DKD
