I am using GX Dev. FX (ver. 5.0). I am trying to delete a line in the program. I have made a copy of the original and given it a rev no. and deleted the appropriate part of the ladder. When I come to convert it, the program assumes that I am connected to the PLC, although I am off-line. Needless to say it returns an error message that there is no communication with the PLC. Can someone advise as to where I am going wrong in not being able to convert a program off-line. Appreciate your advise, thanks.

Whilst trying to transfer a program from GX Dev (FX) to a FX0 unit, I get an error message referring to 'Comms port not recognised' - How do I configure the comms port settings? Appreciate any help,thanks.

Just to clarify - this programme has been operational for years ( long before I joined the company) so it is not a new issue.

Question - is it possible for a timer to go faulty? I had an issue whereby I had the problem of a timer appearing not to operate, even though conditions said it ought to work. As I am a beginner when it comes to programming I overcame the problem by wiring in an external timer. This had the desired result and the equipment is functioning as intended.
