hi Paul, thanks for your reply. I figured out the easiest way without any editing to the existing running application would be setting up the secondary datasource. I have 2 ethernet card on my industrial PC and i tried setting up a secondary source for the accessname but i can't seems to make it work. Here's what i did. In access name. application name : MitEhternet Topic : Mit enable secondary source (i checked this) application name: MitEthernet Topic : Mit2 but when i plugged out my the cable of my first ethernet. it will not automatically fail over and receive data from the 2nd ethernet. By the way the 1st ethernet card is connected directly to the first plc and the 2nd to the secondary ethernet port of the first plc. thanks man

Hi, How do i setup redundancy with intouch 10? For example when PLC1 goes down intouch10 will automatically pull data from PLC2. thanks
-
Hi. i have solved the problem. When installing intouch10 there is this installation feature (trending blah blah...cant really remember) that requires the user to selection to install it. For my case, i did not choose to install the feature and that's the reason why i am having problems with the pentrend.dll error. So i reinstalled intouch10 with that feature checked and everything went smoothly.

Hi, I have an existing intouch10 project copied from a site but when i tried to run it..i gave me a Pentrend.dll not found error. I have googled and found that such a problem is with intouch 7.0 and before and installing productivity pack will have it solved. but i can't find any productivity pack cd for intouch 10. I tried installing the productivity pack from a lower version but it would require me to install a lower version of intouch which i do not have access to. Anyone has seen the same error and managed to solve it? thanks.

Hi IO_Rack and all the ones who replied. Thanks for the help. I have got the driver running with wonderware. thanks alot.
-
hi, yup i mean after i have installed the correct daserver for my plc model.thanks
-
thanks for the fast reply guys. Just 1 more question, after i have installed a DAServer and have it running. Does that mean from wonderware i have access to the PLC's DM? like D200.1 , D202 etc thanks
-
Hi, This is the first time i am working with wonderware and i have some problems knowing the difference between a wonderware I/O Server vs DAServer. The project i am working for will be changing all the current Mitshubishi A Series PLC to Mitshubishi Q Series PLC (ethernet version). After some reading, i gathered that all i need to change would be the I/O driver and the existing wonderware application will still work (Am i right about this?). After some searching on the wonderware site, i found a Mitsubhishi Q series Ehternet DAServer. I/O Server for Mitsubitshi are only available from 3rd party wonderware partners. I need to give an answer if we need to purchase the driver or we can just use the DAServer soon. And i am not sure of the difference between an I/O Server and DAServer ( I have googled and searched wonderware website before asking in the forum). thanks in advance, Lost

Hi thanks for all the help. I am using CQM1 an old plc given to me for free.

hi, sorry for not explaining the problem. i do not have the reset bit turned on. I am assuming that 511 will be my counter number and #5 will be value the counter will count to. am i right?

Hi, I am trying to setup redundancy servers for my citect project. 1 Primary Server and 1 Secondary Server so when the primary server is down, the secondary server will take over it and switch back to primary when the primary is online. I have read the citect help file but it did not really tell you how to do it. Anyone with experience setting up redundancy in Citect could give me a few pointers on this please. thanks alot. and wishing everyone will have a merry christmas.
