Thats interesting, I didn't know that Omron had the option of storing symbols and comments in the processor. My customer received the equipment on Monday and I picked up the manuals yesterday. The PLC, according to the manual, is a Sysmac CPM2A-40CDR-A-V1, so I should be able to use Syswin and provide any support that is needed. Thanks again, Jeff

Thank you everyone for your response. I don't normally use Omron but I found the Syswin on Ebay hoping it would work since the vendor for my equipment used an Omron PLC. I'm not sure which PLC is being used yet, but if I can upload the program I'm sure that I can get a printed copy and add the documentation my self. Thanks again. Jeff

Hello, A vendor for a piece of equipment that I've purchased sent me the PLC program as .cxp file. I have Syswin 3.4 programming software. Is there a way to import or otherwise open this file in Syswin? I didn't see any obvious way of doing this. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

Hello, Does anyone have examples of, or information pertaining to the Ethernet communication logic, or the different options available, required for three or more of these processors connected together? Also, information on how to reset the processor through logic when the comms freeze do to the processor's internal timer timing out. I haven't been able to find anything about the internal timer other than the error codes for it. any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, I haven't seen the C20 yet but from what my custumer describes he has the host unit. Couldn't find the utility for XP but had an old laptop with WINDOWS 98 on it. Still had to run in DOS mode and edit the Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files to get the software to install and run. Going to get parts to make cable now. Thanks for your help

Pdl, I downloaded the LSS software from the link you provided. I'm running Windows XP Pro and the install hang on Checking System Configuration Please wait...... Do you know off hand if this software will run on XP/DOS? I read something on another post about a using processor slowdown utility. Thanks

I'm in need of a version of software that can be downloaded for free to change the output address in a C20 PLC. Is the old LSS available somewhere or any other version/demo etc.? I can't justify the cost of a licensed copy for a one time use. I did find a copy of SYSWIN that I downloaded but need activation, etc. Will SYSWIN allow me to work in demo mode?
