I would suggest you contact someone in the strapping industry such as signode. They will be happy to send a sales engineer to determine your needs and propose a solution. Just google them and you should be able to find a local rep for your area.

I cannot find any info on a SYMAX800. Is it perhaps the old Modicon 984 with 800 series modules? Can you post some close-up pictures? A picture showing all the info on the CPU identity tag would also help. Please state exactly which software you are using. Thanks.

The Toshiba EX40 is almost identical to the D100. Right Click on the manual link below. Need Help With Rslogix Program
jrwb4gbm replied to rta53's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
Depending on how the ladder is written, add a branch around the timer done bit that drives the next timer. On it you should have the previous timer done bit and the solenoid disabled bit. When you get the time, try programming it with the sequencer. This seems like a perfect application for it. BTW I hated the first sequencer I programmed and still have to review my notes each time to make a new program. Sid -
I used the direct cable diagram almost as shown in the lower right side of Jay Anthony's attached image. I only connected to pins 3, 5, and 8 on the SP20. I connected that much of it exactly as shown. On the computer side DB9 only, I then connected pins 1,4, and 6 together with a jumper. I then connected pins 7 and 8 together with another jumper. For the connector on the PLC, I salvaged the male pins from a connector and just crimped them on the wires and put them in the correct pin hole on the PLC. It was a crude fix but it worked. Sid

Here is a link to a replacement IC chip if that is the problem. If the trouble is worse than that maybe I can open mine up to get the complete circuitry diagram figured out. Sid Updated link. http://www.digikey.com/scripts/us/dksus.dl...32&Cat=31458276
