the problem about replacing stegmann encoder inside AB servo motor
Flash319 replied to jack's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
I have the same problem with original encoder. I removed encoder to change the bearing in the back of the motor and now i get the E30 fault. Anyone or Jack figure this out? I can read encoder counts with Ultraware but the drive is faulted. -

I am looking to do some work on the side. I have 12 years experience designing and building controls systems with robots and PLC's. I can build the control panels and do all programing. Systems that I am familiar with include: PLC's Allen Bradley and screens Omron and screens Robots: Mig and spot welding, Material handling Fanuc Robots (RJ2, RJ3) Yaskawa (Motoman) Robots (ERC, MRC, XRC) ABB robots (ALL) Let me know your needs. I am located in Ontario Canada. Ritch@rogers.com Thanks

I got it. You have to put a 1 in $sw11 first then turn on $sb25. This will capture an image to the card. If you put a 0 or any other number in $sw11 it will print to a printer.

So I made a button and had it write to $SB25 on a momentary contact. It did not do anything. My memory card still just has the program on it.??????

Great thanks. So do I need 2 buttons, one to start and one to stop?

So I am tracking downtime on a screen that I made and would like to print the screen to a file on the USB or even just a printer. I can't find any info anywhere. Thanks

Sweet!! I didn't think that omron did this. Thanks a lot.

So I am trying to do production tracking and dang omron does not give you the day of the week. I use the sample code for getting the time, month year and stuff but I need the day of the week. I am using a CS1G and cannot use function blocks so the sample code that is writen in structured text will not work. Does anyone have sample code for getting the day of the week using ladder logic?

I have a 1771 chasis with a plc5/60L in it but no power supply. I have connected 5V to the side pegs and I get the lights on the PLC to come on. Batt is red and fault is red. I can not comunicate with it using Links and a serial cable. I replaced the battery and still no go. Any Ideas? Do I have to put power somewhere else to get the PLC to respond?
