  1. RSView ME and RSEmulate 500

    That worked out fine. Thanks.
  2. I was wondering if anyone has simulated a slc 5/05 and a panelview plus application using RSView ME with RSEmulate 500. I can simulate just fine using a contrologix plc but can't get the communications setup correctly with a slc. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. fusing a control panel

I have 5 dc power sources. 4 are dedicated to each safety relay and 1 is dedicated to devicenet power.
  4. fusing a control panel

That's what I was leaning towards anyway. What is the best way to correctly size fuses? For non motor loads is 125% of continuous load plus 100% of noncontinuous load acceptable?
  5. fusing a control panel

I am designing a panel that will be powered by 120VAC. i also have several 24VDC power sources in the panel. Power coming into the panel will go through a voltage conditioner because we have a problem with voltage spikes in the plant. Is it necessary to fuse each DC power source individually and fuse the line coming out of the voltage conditioner or would a 30A fusible disconnect work alright instead of fusing everything indivdually? Most components in the panel are sensors, relays, a plc, safety relays, vision system. There are no motors or other very inductive loads.
  6. Communication errors

The panelview goes into a link coupler which is attached to one of the IMC DH-485 ports. The micrologix 1200 goes through a net-aic which is connected to the other IMC DH-485 port.
  7. We currently have a panelview 550 hooked up to an IMC S Class motion controller on DH-485. We are trying to add a micrologix 1200 plc to the network through DH-485. The panelview is hooked up to one of the DH-485 ports on the IMC S Class and the micrologix will be hooked to the other DH-485 port of the IMC S Class. As soon as I hook up the micrologix plc I get an error message on the panelview saying "Data Errors on the link." Baud rate for all nodes is 19200. Panelview is node 1, IMC is node 0, and micrologix 1200 is node 2. Anyone have any ideas.
  8. SLC 5/04 communications

I found a product made by Datalink called DL4500-EDH+ which converts DH+ to ethernet. Anyone see any problems going this route.
  9. I am trying to setup a data collection network. One of our lines has a SLC 5/04 connected to a panelview 1000 using DH+ (channel 1) and an ab ultra 3000i connected to channel 0. Channel 0 of the SLC 5/04 is configured in user mode with an ascii driver. The problem is that we need to poll information out of the SLC using a 1761-NET-ENI which will put the SLC onto our ethernet network. We have purchased a df1 port splitter from allen bradley but this does not appear to work because channel 0 is configured for ascii communication with the ultra drive. Does anyone know of a way to get around this or is there a way to split the DH+ port and then use a DH+ to ethernet adapter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
