  3. GE ethernet protocol specification

thanks for the information. I also found some minor details from GFK-2296 and GFK-2382.
  4. GE ethernet protocol specification

Hi I am looking for GE Ethernet protocol specification manual. We are developing driver for HMI to speak directly with GE fanuc 90 series PLCs on ethernet. Any information is useful Advance thanks mahidhar

  6. HVAC Question

All PLCs vendors now a days support their windows based tools for logic development as per IEC 61131-3. It does not matter which vendor it is, if they are supporting above IEC, u can go a head to select any vendor. In factory floor, if u are already using AB, if u are not familliar with automation platforms and programming languages,u can always ask ur suppliers to offer new applications with AB PLC's only.If u know how to develop application using one PLC then there should not be any problem to understand other PLC's what ever the vendor is.Infact these will increase ur skills in other vendor products. On the other answer, saying PLC's not used for HVAC is not fair comment, now a days there is no area one can say it is not being used,u can get thousands of references where PLC's are being used arround the world for HVAC's. 7. Nubee question.

It seems u did not configured DF1 properly. While configuring driver, did u got succesfull message during auto configuration??? IF the above message appears, then just try to download the existing program in the PLC. If the communiction is properly established, then when u see in RSWho, PLC should appear. No need to change any node numbers for initial communication setup. Mahidhar
  8. SNPX protocol information

I found basic information about SNP-X at following URL from GE forums http://www.geindustrial.com/cwc/gefanuc/su.../s90micro-m.htm GFK-0582D (Page No: 210 to 240) If more detail information is available at other links, any information is usefull to me Mahidhar
  9. SNPX protocol information

Hi I am looking for detailed information about SNP-X protocol. Where I can find the information - some thing like PDF files available at internet is useful for me. Thanks Mahidhar
  10. PANELVIEW 550

One more wayt to clear the meory of panel view is,keep the appropriate keypad buttons pressed at the keypad and then switch on power supply, try like this!!!!!!
  11. AB transfer problem

I know much details about APS you are talking about. Normally for SLC 500 series, RS Logix 500 software is extensively used for programming. Before you exist, the project, if u save, then automatically it should be uploaded to the PC and save in PLC. Both happens at same time. You can try by changing project file in offline, then download the file to PLC. This should solve your problem. if prompted, over write the file. I hope this helps. Mahidhar
  12. Normally in Micrologix 1000, only DF1 is available. It is 232 port. You can prepare cable on your own. PLC side PC side 2 3 3 2 5 5 USB-serial port converters available in market Earlier, I use some adopters USB to 9 pin Serial port converters. But I could not establish the communication properly between PC & PLC. But it should be possible,u can try that. I hope this helps. Mahidhar
  13. Every one knows Modicon is inventor of MODBUS. Whether all modicon range PLC's support MODBUS with out additional add on module/card??? Also modicon supports a)TSX micro b)TELEMECANIQUE / MODICON TSX series - Uni-teleway The above protocols are available by default with every CPU at PLC??? or I should have add on card/module for Modicon PLC's to support above protocols.
