Hi, We have new machine with ControlLogix PLC with Ethernet/IP card which is then connect to router switch via RJ45 cable, from router switch there're some RJ45 cables connected to different devices. I was able to go on line with Rslinx and DF1 cable, too slow. I don't know how to communicate Controllogix via ethernet. There's ip address 198.162.120.111. scrolling display on Ethernet card. I like to know how to go on line via ethernet. There's a port available for lap top connection at router switch. Thanks

Hi, I'm new to Studio 5000 and servo programming. I created a file with CompactLogix and Kinetix 5500, but not sure where and how to start. Like to write a simple program with a button to jog, a button to run for some amount of revolution. Attached a file that I created. Thanks servo_test_1.ACD

We have Adept Six 300 robot and belt broke on one of the joints. Disconnected motor and encoder leads/connectors to remove the motor to replace belt. Didn't know that battery back up has to be connected to keep the encoder position. Now we are getting E5 (joint 5) error. How can I reset the error and how to reteach the home position. Thanks

Hi, I tried connecting to compactlogix by ethernet (Rj45 cable) and could not get it online. I could go online by using serial cable. Need instruction on how to go online with ethernet cable. How can I find out IP address and so on. I also have 1747 UIC and couldn't go on line with it either. Instruction said to change DF1 to DH485. How can I do that? Thanks

I'm trying to upload from pvplus to our company laptop. I can't find rslinxenterprise after i started Me transfer utility. Am I doing it wrong? IP address is 192.168.1.20 for Pvplus. I can see it on Rslinx Classic. Please see attached jpeg image. Thanks  

Can i go online to panelview plus like i go on line to plc with rslogix? How do it do it? There're a recipe screens on pvp and like to get screen shots of those. Thanks

Panelview Plus 600 touch screen glass is broken. I like to know if anybody replaced it before. I have removed the curcuit board and everything but glass is stuck and not able to remove it. Need instruction on that. Thanks

When i plug the power I only see RUN LED is on. Both DH485 and RS232 LEDs are off. I can not go online to PLC. It was working fine till someone did some changes in channel settings and downloaded it to PLC. After that no more communication. How can I get it back to online. Thanks

I like to know what software do I need to communucate with VersaMax MIcro PLC? Logicmaster or VersaMax Pro? Does 9 pin to 15 pin cable work on it? Thanks

How can I get to configure screen? I can't find a white dot. I tried usb keyboard ctrl, alt, shift, windows key and didn't work. When it boots up it shows pic below. Thanks

There's no white square, nothing at all. As soon as I turn it on it shows the screen below. I connected laptop and was ale to save it as mer file. Now when I transfer it to another PV Plus 600 via thumb drive, it shows error: wrong firmware. What do i do next. Thanks

How to find CompactLogix 1769-L18ER-BB1B IP address? We have a machine with it and don't know what the ip address is. What is that USB port for? It doesn't have serial port either. But has two ethernet port. Thanks

Finally i got the usb driver working. I had to plug in and out several times. It shows 0.0.0.0, 1769-L18ER-BB1B. Does it mean the ip address is zero or no ip address? Thanks

my laptop is windows 7 and rslinx classic 3.51. When i connect usb cable to the laptop it shows usb device not recognized. Do it start rslinx first before i plug in the usb? What is Ethernet daughtercard? Thanks

I'm trying to connect panelview 550 (2711-K5A2), Micrologix 1000 and PC via 1761-net-aic. Can I make 1761-CBL-AS03 myself or I need AB 1761-CBL-AS03 cable? I follow pin out diagram from rockwell website. I did as follow Phoenix TERM and A jumper together to RJ45 pin 2, Phoenix B to RJ45 pin 1 Phoenix COM to RJ45 pin 4 What do I do with Phoenix SHLD and CHS GND? I can't see panelview 550 in rslinx DF1 configuration, only micrologix 1000. Am I doing something wrong? Can someone make simpler for me? I'm not understanding the pin out chart from RS website. Which is pin 1 and pin 6 on phoenix? Which is pin 1 and pin 8 on RJ45? Thanks

Hi We have a machine with panelview plus 700 and need to reload the file. Machine builder gave us the file with apa extension. We don't have rsview me software. The file is in CF card. I plug it to 700, start the 700 and go to configuration screen. I can not see the apa file that is in CF card. I can only see files with mer extension. How can I load apa to pv plus? Does rsview supervisoory edition work with it? May be I should call machine build to convert it to mer file. Thanks

Hi we have an old laptop with rslogix5 and 500. We like to move activation of rslogix500 to floppy so that it can be loaded to a new laptop which already has rslogix5000 installed. Just want to leave rslogix5 in an old laptop and move the 500 activation out. Whenever we did the evmove, it did both 5 and 500 together. It shows both files on (Source Drive C:).How do select 500 only? Thanks
