  1. I have a new Kinetix 7000 drive, running on Controllogix 5000 L61, Sercos. The drives are running great, however, offline, when I make a change to the Real Time Axis Information, ie: Torque Feedback, I get an error code "16358-80042035" (enter a home speed between 0 and 0). My home speeds are 10 and 5 respectively. The only way to modify the block is to delete it, then rebuild it with the change... any suggestions. Dave
  2. Equipment: Controllogix L61 Panelview Plus CE 1250, Windows XP computer running Cognex 4.7 software 2 Cognex 5400C cameras. Everything is ethernet and talking. I want to show the camera pics on the Panelview. Problem is, the cameras are not on the same network switch as the panelview. I had to seperate the Cameras as part of my I/O network and the Panelview is part of the Plant network. Any ideas?
  3. I have tried it both ways. My network is half Ethernet and half DH+. The front end is a Controllogix Gateway, with 4 DH+ modules and 2 Ethernet modules. Then Fiber optic to a network switch, which then we go wireless. I have checked just about everything. I never have an issue with DH+, just ethernet to CL5000.
  4. This is truly frustrating. In the last couple months I have been recieving this message when trying to go online with RSLogix5000 "Failed to go online with controller, the attached module is not a logix controller" Well indeed it is. I have a huge ethernet network and sometimes there are no issues and sometimes it take 5-6 tries to get online. I have RSMACC running as well and using RSView for a Plant Metrics system. However, the RSView has never caused an issue. I think it has something to do with RSMACC
  5. Ok, here goes, I know it is possible to change the homing of a servo from "reverse uni-directional" to "forward uni-directional" using the SSV instruction, just not sure how to do it or what logic needs to be written to do so. Does anyone have a sample?
  6. RS5000 crash

I had the same problem after I played with my Windows 7 firewall. All my RSL5000 programs were stored on my network server. I copied all the files over to my laptop and the fatal error went away. I believe now that the firewall has something to do with it.
  7. I have a 8 slot Ctrlgx Gateway. I have 4 DHRIO modules, 2 Ethernet and 1 L55 controller. I want to retrieve information from one of the PLC's on the DHRIO card and bring it into the L55. How so I do this. Every attempt at messaging does not work.
  8. 1336s RIO Config

I have this manual. It really does not tell me what adapter to use and what input mode should be used. Very hard to understand. I also have the 1203 manual for scanport. I have changed parameter# 111 (data in A1) to 27 and so on, still nothing. Maybe it's time to hardwire the thing, easier I think.
  9. Call me stupid, however, I have a 1336s with RIO. I cannot for the life of me get it back up and running on RIO. Someone played with it and messed it up. I have it running on Input 1, just standard, enable and run speed. I need help, what parameters do I change to get it to run RIO again.
  10. I have the code written to recieve info in my MS Access dbase through my RS Linx. the only issue I have now is triggering the DDERead on a change of true/false from the PLC. I have it working on a timer now through MS access, however, that is not what I need. Can someone point me in the right direction.
  11. I am having such a hard time trying to bring PLC info from the floor to a MS access database. I want to record cycle time between parts and log the time and date. How do I do this, I am stumped. Can someone give me a step by step. I have all the right software and equipment ie: RS Linx gateway, Windows 2003 server, RS Bizware, RS View32, I installed a PLC Gateway so all my processors connect, I can see them and make changes, but I need to get production data from the floor to the database. I need help bad.
